Just wanted to make a small update. I'm busy working right now so the posts will be slower in coming, but this issue will resolve itself once I'm finished with my current project and my time will be much more open. So by later this week, early next week, I'll be posting everyday except maybe Sundays. My wife and I are both off on Sunday so it's our personal time. :)
Things That Do Not Exist In Herstory!
I was a history major in college. Although it's not my current field, I have always, and always will, have a strong love for what came before. Most of my current reading and studies are about history. I am a historian and I believe in the historical method.
So when I come across things that are unproven, or inaccurate, or just flat out made-up, it really makes me angry. History is rich and vibrant and making things up, for whatever reason, is just wrong and leads to misunderstanding about the thing I love. I recently came across this, http://www.marg.at/lesbian-history/, which is repeated verbatim here, http://www.swade.net/lesbian/tribal_chant/les_hist.html, the only thing I can think is, "Why not do some research instead of just copy and paste.
I admit that on this sub I copy/paste things from Wiki and other articles, although I always give a link to where I obtained the information I post, but before anything is posted here for public reading the facts are always checked, then double checked. Never take one source, especially a more recent source, as fact.
Here are a few examples from the aforementioned linked websites, and these are just the first part...

Hey guys! This is the first post of a (as of now) 2-part series about the past seasons of the main competition of the sub, Reddit’s Drag Race.
I won’t be making a solo post for Season 1 because the season, hosted by a now deleted account on the old RPDR Fantasy Season sub, was completely randomized. There wasn’t any actual interactive parts on the season (except for the contestants, all users from the sub who created their own drag names to compete on the season).
Season 1 started (more or less) 6 months ago. 14 users submitted their drag names to “compete”. Over the course of 12 episodes the queens were randomized on pre-planned generic challenges (“Sewing”, “Group Acting”, “Singing”, “Commercial”, etc) to match the vibe that the real Drag Race challenges had.

The final placements were
1st place: Otina (1 win, 6 highs, 3 safes, 2 btms)
Runner Up: Proud Mary (2 wins, 2 highs, 2 safes, 4 lows, 2 btms)
3rd/4th: Obeseia Cakes (2 wins, 1 high, 6 safes, 2 lows, 1 btm)
3rd/4th: Kornucopia (2 wins, 1 high, 4 safes, 2 lows, 3 btms)
5th: Tish Hughes (1 win, 3 highs, 2 safes, 3 btms (elim on ep 4, returned on ep 9)
6th: Caprice Sun (1 win, 3 highs, 4 safes, 1 low, 2 btms)
7th: Fantasia Four (3 wins, 4 highs, 1 safe, 2 btms)
8th: Annie Depressant (3 wins, 1 high, 3 safes, 2 btms)

10th: Bitch Peace Elephant (3 safes, 3 lows, 1 btm)
11th: Marianna (3 safes, 1 btm)

The season ended with a lipsync-for-the-crown finale, where Otina was crowned the winner. On the reunion, Annie Depressant was voted the first Miss Congeniality in Reddit`s herstory, while Angelique got the title of Miss Bitch and Fantasia Four the Miss Robbed title.
From the original cast, some names became more known on the following seasons. Chrystal Hinies, Annie Depressant, Futura (Juno), Angelique and Marianna competed on S2 as well (placing, in the following order: runner-up, 7th, 8th, 9th and 14th), but Futura was considered a “new queen” due to her new drag name. On RDR S3, Kornucopia, Marianna, Fantasia Four and the original RDR creator and host Alex auditioned (placing 5th, 6th, 8th and 15th, considering that Alex was cast but quit before the first episode was announced). I'll start- I think the Diva's Rusical from All Stars 3 was both rigged and misjudged. It was completely rigged in Shangela's favour and queens like Aja should have been at the top and Milk in the bottom. So sorely misjudged; Trixie and Ben DeLa Creme had the only placements I agree with, tbh.
31 women ranging from 18-68 will be competing!
Other editions (including the original) could never.
Edit: while I was reading the article of the series as a whole, I think there’s been more controversy in this series involving Heidi’s negative reception and the production company from the media in Germany, people in the fashion industry, former judges, alumni, and even some the winners themselves than in other editions as well.
Plus, GNTM has the distinction of having the first physical fight between contestants that wasn’t one-sided.
three of the queens have never been in the bottom 2. It just goes to show how Vanity and Scarlett dominated lip syncs this season. 😂
