Whenever discussing these sorts of diplomatic/economic pacts people seem to desire a bit more then what is offered, more specifically mechanics that would function similarly to the EU or other free trade areas. Personally, I feel like this wouldn't entirely suit the era but I wanted to know what you all think.
Edit: When I said "like the EU" I meant a free trade area in which all participants were equal, not the current system where there is a senior partner and junior partners.
Despite China cracking down on many cryptocurrency projects and mining operations, Shanghai has been labeled a special free trade zone and a research lab has sprung up with aims at exploring becoming a global defi hub to connect the Chinese and worldwide economies using a digital RMB stablecoin.
It's still early of course and who knows where things will go from here, but the news has certainly got some investors attention and the price of CFX just about tripled in the span of a few hours. Additionally, Conflux is a PoW GPU mining coin so if the digital RMB stablecoin project takes off and becomes a global defi hub for Chinese markets this could offer one big option for GPU miners once Ethereum's proof of stake merge happens.
