#Some people on Twitter have problems with some of my points. I invite you to leave a comment; I respond to criticism, even 22 days later.
This is a long 15 minute read, but since Steven's points seem to echo across the skeptosphere, I wanted to be thorough. I'll acknowledge when the skeptics make legitimate points; this will not be a circlejerk. I'm also going to ignore Fuentes's points that are addressed in Steven's document.
The focus will be on the US since every participant was either American or Canadian. The European statistics will invariably differ significantly from American ones. However, since each participant's audience is probably American/Canadian, arguing about the statistics and policies of Europe is about as silly as arguing about the statistics and policies of South Korea or Indonesia. Was the 5v1 discussing American Black crime or European Black crime? The tendency of American Asians to form enclaves or European Asians? Silliness. The elephant in the room is terrorism, so let's address that:
>Member States reported that 142 victims died as a result of terrorist attacks and 379 people were injured [for 2017]. Nearly all reported fatalities and most of the casualties were the result of jihadist terrorist attacks. The EU's Terrorism Situation and Trend Report, 2017.
Yet, >The largest number of attacks in which the terrorist affiliation could be identified were carried out by ethno-nationalist and separatist extremists (99).
which is distinct from >The number of jihadist terrorist attacks decreased from 17 in 2015 to 13 in 2016, of which 6 were linked to the so-called Islamic State (IS).
In the US:
> From September 12, 2001 through December 31, 2016, attacks by domestic or βhomegrownβ violent extremists in the US resulted in 225 fatalities... Of these, 106 were killed by far right violent extremists in 62 separate incidents, and 119 were victims of radical Islamist violent extremists in 23 separate incidents... activities of far left wing violent extremist groups did not result in any fatalities during this period. US Government Accountability Office.
In both the EU and the US, there are more occurrences of domestic terrorism, though the Islamic attacks cause more deaths. The remainder of this post (unless otherwise specified) will be US oriented.

It comes from one of the New Moon extras on Meyer's website, so it isn't technically within the books, but it's still canon according to her and written by her. It goes as follows, from Rosalie's POV:
>"When I smiled, there was no woman or man on this planet, mortal or immortal, who could match me for beauty. It was a comforting thought. Perhaps I wasn't the easiest person to live with. Perhaps I was shallow and selfish. Perhaps I would have developed a better character if I'd been born with a plain face and a boring body. Perhaps I would have been happier that way."
There are plenty of instances in the books of Meyer showing her aversion to feminine beauty, but none are as glaring as this one. Rosalie's conventional attractiveness is shown as a detrimental character flaw and the possible source of all her other flaws. If she'd been born plain-looking, maybe she'd be nicer and happier. It's a line with so much internalized misogyny that it makes my skin crawl.
This line of thinking is also apparent in characters like Lauren, who is very pretty (for a human) and is the most popular girl in school, therefore she's a total monster. Jessica is suggested as being fairly pretty, but she's not as popular, which makes her insanely jealous. Both Lauren and Jessica are mean, manipulative, and nosy, like they leapt right out of the Mean Girls script. The Denali women are said to have their way with men all the time, simply because they can, because they're beautiful. Tanya wants Edward because he doesn't want her, similarly to how Rosalie hates Edward because he didn't want her. These characters are obsessed with their own beauty and the attention it does and doesn't get them.
Meanwhile, we have the plain-Jane girls. Angela is more plain than the other girls at school, so of course, she's an angel. Bella is often depicted as ultra boring; Meyer has stated the only reason the boys were so obsessed with her was because the new girl in town was like a brand new toy to them. But again, her plain features are still meant to be seen as a good thing. Her personality isn't weighed down by something as frivolous as beauty. Even Alice isn't described as conventionally attractive. She's excessively petite, absolutely tiny, with spiky hair and quirky beyond all reason. She's adorable, yes, and gorgeous in her own right in our eyes, but this still isn't what is normally pictured when

I know what you're going to say. What is H? Why isn't Z the actual generation? It's because in this post, I will use "Gen Z" or "Z" to be a 50/50 zone between Millennials and the actual post-Millennial generation, Homelanders (which I think is a pretty decent name). The reason for this is because even the media recognizes "Gen Z" as those born from 1997-2012 for the most part, they really only acknowledge the late 90s/early 2000s born adults. Rarely do they mention the mid 2000s borns and late 2000s/early 2010s borns might as well not even be in Gen Z, according to the media. Does that have to do with them not being of legal age? Maybe, but "Gen Z" seems to mean a teenager/young adult in the late 2010s/early 2020s. Sounds very subjective, but that's my motivation for using "Z" as a cusp here rather than the actual generation, just in case anybody wanted to know.
This is sort of an extension of my old post located here. I'm gonna try my best with this. Some I will make guesses. Side note: I'm doing this because I'm bored and I wanna make an "interesting" post.

This is a series I've been doing on /r/CollegeBasketball for 3 years, and now /r/CFB for 7. The post attempts to visualize consistency between voters in the AP Poll in a single image. Additionally it sorts each AP voter by similarity to the group. Notably, this is not a measure of how "good" a voter is, just how consistent they are with the group. Especially preseason, having a diversity of opinions and ranking styles is advantageous to having a true consensus poll. Polls tend to coalesce towards each other as the season goes on.
The Poll has 63 voters this year, with the following breakdown:
4+ Years | B.J. Rains, Ben Steele, Bob Holt, Brian Holland, Bruce Pascoe, Chris Murray, Dave Borges, Dave Matter, Dave Preston, David Cloninger, Dick Vitale, Donna Ditota, Geoff Grammer, James Crepea, Jeff Call, Jerry Carino, Jesse Newell, John Werner, Jon Rothstein, Jon Wilner, Kevin McNamara, Lauren Brownlow, Luke DeCock, Marcus Fuller, Mark Berman, Paul Klee, Rick Bozich, Scott Richey, Scott Wolf, Seth Davis, Sheldon Mickles, Steve Hewitt |
Other Returners | Chad Leistikow, Chris Basnett, Jeff Rabjohns, Kevin Brockway, Nick Suss, Stephen Means, Wayne Epps, Zach Klein, Bob Ballou, Clayton Collier, David Jablonski, Donald Hunt, Ethan Joyce, Jeff Borzello, Justin Jackson, Matt Murschel, Stephen Tsai, Bennett Conlin |
First Year | Andrew Kahn, Aria Gerson, Bret Bloomquist, Bryce Miller, Jeff Welsch, Mia O'Brien, Mike Rodak, Nick Kelly, Steve Greenberg, Jerry DiPaola, Kelly Hines |
Returning after last year off | Terry Toohey, Theo Lawson |
Leaving the Poll | Brian McInnis, Cecil Hurt, Craig Meyer, Edgar Thompson, Joe Juliano, Ken Weinman, Shannon Ryan, Adam Grosbard, Jack Ebling, Joe Buettner, Jordan Hansen, Lauren Kirschman, Sam Blum, Troy Provost-Heron, Josh Vitale |
A pair of Kellys, Kelly Hines and Nick Kelly were the most consistent voters in the preseason poll. Terry Toohey, Jeff Borzello, Chris Murray, and Jeff Call were not far behind.
The biggest outlier was Dave Borges, followed by Jon Wilner, Donald Hunt, Bob Ballou, and Stephen Tsai.
