A list of puns related to "Laura Lee Hope"
Like sheβs supposed to be this stereotypical Christian goody two shoes. But I can also see her as someone who dots Is and crosses Ts.
Like showing her going through the plane, inspecting the wings, controls, elevators, landing gear or showing how she understands the mechanics of flight. She doesnβt seem to be a person to half-ass something like that.
Like Misty has gumption and know-how, it seems like Laura Lee is someone who might have hidden depths and talents in a survival situation.
It seems like kind of a waste to kill her off this early in the story
I adore this show, but can't say I agree with the decision to kill her off. She was my favorite supporting character, and I felt sure she had the stuff to make for a fascinating long term character arc. I wanted to see her survive, and had all kinds of ideas for what adult Laura Lee would look like. Not to mention, the actor Jane Widdop I thought really was a standout. I accept this turn, but not without sadness and disappointment. Here's hoping we might see her yet in flashbacks or visions.
I open the floor now to all things Laura Lee. Cheese and rice, she was one of a kind.
So I've seeing a lot of post on Twitter w people really happy about the Lottie/Laura Lee interaction (a lot of people on twitter ship them, idk where that came from but honestly I get it haha) but I just got the vibe that this will make Lottie spiral even more. I get that at the moment it brings Lottie a lot of comfort but I dont think its good nor wise to say to a person with a mental health issue that they're gifted. They're not. They're sick (sorry if this is bad wording, english isnt my first language and idk other way to say it, but u know what i mean hahahah) and the poor girl is struggling, she doesnt know whats real and whats not, she cant sleep well at night and she literally hit her head against a window (so even if she has some weird super-natural gift, is a fucked up one that shouldnt be praised). I agree it was not cool of Tai to call her crazy, but she may become dangerous (not only to others but also to herself) if Laura Lee keeps encouraging her to believe her visions are true. Im thinking this may be what starts all the weird ritualistic antler queen drama.
Lottie is scared and confused and though her scenes w Laura Lee are super cute, she isnt really helping her long-term, i believe.
And the other girls on the team shouldve noticed by now that somethings not right w her and shouldve tried to help her. It breaks my heart seeing how alone she is in all of this. I will not be surprised if lottie starts taking everything laura lee says at heart, being that shes the only ones that seems to care at least a little bit. I just want to protect lottie at all costs π₯Ί
iβm sorry but episode 8 was my least favourite so far. i genuinely thought we were gonna get a compelling spotlight placed on laura leeβs character. she is my favourite supporting character just based on the fact that usually portrayals of the βbible thumperβ trope are usually unlikable. jane widdop is really credited for doing such amazing job with laura leeβs character.
my issue is how everything went down. we have an opening scene of her diving, which makes you think, βomg laura lee episode lets go,β but nothing happens of significance that leads us to the final scene. leonard catching on fire made literally no sense other than if the show brings in supernatural elements okay then iβll believe it. but i feel like writers used laura lee as a martyr because of her faith and what she believes. iβm aware that laura lee is the moral compass of the show and if she was there probably wouldnβt be a cult. im just miffed over the wasted potential here
Jane is live on Instagram right now, and I asked them if they'd seen our reddit, and they'd said they go read it after every episode! Hi Jane!
What was the point of that one scene? I feel like it was very light and didnβt explain to us anything about Laura Lees character
So the general theory is that Laura Lee will try to fly the plane and die trying, crashing into the cabin or otherwise exploding. I think her religiousness has been a hint towards her being the first victim to cannibalism. In the Bible Jesus gives his disciples his βfleshβ and βbloodβ which could hint towards the team being βsavedβ from starvation in the form of cannibalizing her remains
Just made the realization that when Lottie was being baptized she saw Laura Lee in flames, the show suggested it was her seeing the Holy Sprit. BUT it was obviously foreshadowing to the plane crash! Love how well written and thought out this show is! π
Did we all catch the lyrics of the song the girls playing patty cake were singing right before LL jumped in the shallow end? Especially that first line? " one two 3 the devils after me"
ok so as everyone i am saddened by LL death from ep8 but does anyone feel bad for the actress maybe its just me but we all know that the show has been renewed for a second season and all the cast were posting saying how excited they were too get back to filming but i kinda feel bad for jane ( laura lee) because their character is dead and that means they wont be returning for another season.. idk if its just cuz i have FOMO but if i was them.. YES i would be so so happy for the experience and memories made but also a little sad that some of my cast mates who i made these memories with will be off filming s2 and making new memories.. i dunno if its just me tho but #LONGLIVELAURALEE π
What was the significance of Laura Lee smashing her head in the pool? I still don't understand why that was shown.
this is my theory on how laura leeβs possible death may impact the way the girls live. i apologize if it seems wordy and doesnβt make any sense, iβm just trying to get my point across.
as we know, episode eight is called flight of the bumblebee. one of my friends has a theory (that may seem plausible) that laura lee is going to die because she is going to attempt to fly the plane that they had found in episode five. this theory sits strong because in episode six, we see her reading the planes flight manual.
anyways, we know that laura lee is a devout christian. she knows the bible better than anyone else in her group. so how is her death the tipping point of insanity?
my theory is this: as we know in episode six, saints, lottie has a vision. they are in the attic of the cabin they had found, performing a sΓ©ance, a ritual used to communicate with the spirits of the dead. during the sΓ©ance, lottie speaks as if she is not there, itβs like she is possessed. however, when laura lee threw the bible at her, she snapped out of it, like whatever had possessed her realized βoh shit, we have a holy presence in this room, i need to get the fuck out of it before something happens to me.β
in eye of the bumblebee, laura lee flies the plane, loses control, and crashes, dying in the process. because of this, itβs like the girl had lost their protective barrier, the barrier that is keeping the spirit that possessed lottie away. laura lee is the barrier that is keeping the spirits away from the girls. with her gone, itβs opening a gate, allowing the spirits to take possession of one of the vital members in their group (lottie) and make her do their bidding.

Starting to have this feeling that Laura Lee is going to die crashing the Cessna. We know she may be dead from the Easter Egg from Shaunaβs web search. Totally get5ing Chekhovβs Cessna feelings. She is waaay too preoccupied with learning to fly that plane.
A very peppy sweet devout Christian or catholic girl, but yet she still radiates the popularity and likeableness that sheβs friends with everyone.
I can totally picture my HS version of Laura Lee yelling, βthe power of Christ compels you!β And throwing a bible at someone in that position!
Shoutout to my Laura Lee - SJM!
Ok I am legit confused. I thought the plane caught on fire (due to mechanical issues after sitting in the forest for so long and a squirrel probably like chewed on some wires), which ultimately caught Laura Leeβs bear on fire during her flight. OR did something spooky happen that caused Laura Leeβs bear to spontaneously combust/ catch fire suddenly???? Need others to share their thoughts. My family is torn between the two theories lol
Call me crazy but for some reason I donβt think Laura lee actually dies I just feel like her jumping in the pool signifies something other than her finding her faith π¬π€·π»ββοΈ I could be totally wrong but Iβm sure of it
if Laura Lee dies in the plane crash..who do we think is with her? Assuming it happens at all and thats what Lottie's vision was..do we think its just her that explodes? kinda feel like there would be someone else with her just because they wouldn't do stuff alone and because its a good way to kill off some nonessential characters. Just wondering for fun..dont take this too seriously..we all are just having a good time waiting til next week's episode
Do you think Laura Lee can feel slighted that she believes Lottie has visions from God and not her? Then, it starts to grow to the point that Laura Lee accuses Lottie of being a false prophet or the devil and now Lottie has to be sacrificed.
...finally has balls.
In the trailer she stood up for herself saying she was gonna fly the plane.
I wonder if her character is gonna start showing more edge especially since she's kinda bonding with Lottie who seems to be gaining traction as a character as well.
In one of the first scenes of the pilot, when we see Jackie's bed, it centers in multiple little things on her room before the camera focuses on her and Jeff (photos with Shauna, magazines, etc) and among those things we get to see very clearly the same one-eyed teddy bear that Laura Lee was holding in episode 2. I don't know if it was just a mistake or if it means something more? I found it kind of weird. And, reading the script of the pilot, I noticed that they specifically wrote that Jackie has a one-eyed teddy bear on her room, so it was thought through.
Help me correlate this with the closing scene
