First, I posted this on r/jokes but it didn't get much love. Then I realized I posted it on the wrong joke sub. Y'all love the punny jokes, so here you go:

Why are lamb chops a thing? Why do we have a food named after a baby animal?

Would you ever eat something called puppy steak? Or kitten burger? Or chick fillet?

oh wait.........

This one was baaaaaad

I was home from college for the weekend and my parents decided to take me out to get real food. So I decided I'd make the most of it and order lamb shoulder.

Me: " Well I guess me and this lamb can't be friends anymore."

Dad: " Why is that?"

Me: " Cause he has a giant chip on his shoulder."

*groans from everyone aorund the table"

My wife said son had come home with some 'take away' sums...

...I said "What, like how much is it if you add the cost of a Lamb Balti and a Naan bread?"

edit. In the uk a takeaway is food you buy like Chinese or Indian, and take away.
