Probably the part of the show I am most excited to watch unfold on tv. Too bad it’s going to be years from now 😭
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Bridgerton showrunner Chris Van Dusen said "...now that we know who or now that we think we know who Lady Whistledown is" which stop and made me wonder could Penelope Featherington NOT be Lady Whistledown?
In a separate interview with ET, Bridgerton actor Regé-Jean Page back up the speculation by saying "I know that we have shot that appears to be a reveal but who knows"
Terri Seymour asked Bridgerton brothers Benedict and Colin (Luke Newton & Luke Thompson) on extratv's interview: "So is Penelope really Mrs. Whistledown or are you just all trying to throw us off?" unsure of what to say both Luke's spoke to answer but it was Luke Thompson response of "Surely you don't expect we are going to answer that" whilst Newton laughed in agreement.
Whilst all interviews with Nicola Coughlan have left us feeling confident that her character is without a doubt Lady Whistledown and the only mystery is when and how will the rest of the ton find out her identity? How will Elosie react?
All I can say is Bridgerton steered away from the novels just enough to keep us guessing and craving more.

His siblings he would protect with his fiercest wrath. His children he would protect with his blood and steel. His wife, his Penelope, he would protect with his life itself.
"Welcome all!" Maekar finally bellowed. His deep rumble carried through the entire hall, reverberating for all to hear. "Welcome to Seagard! You have my most gracious thanks for attending, and I hope you all enjoy the feast!" Now was not the time to think of death or vengeance. Now was the time to celebrate and love.

Sitting at the fore of Seagard's hall were the Houses of the bride and groom, House Paege and House Mallister, accompanied by House Tully and House Baratheon, the two visiting great lords. With them was also members of House Targaryen, both royals and friends of the late Marissa Mallister and Tristifer Baratheon.

Sitting just below the Lord's Table were the most noble Houses and allies and kin of House Mallister. House Swann, House Lothston, House Blackwood, House Meadows, and Ser Byren Kenning were invited to sit there.

The remaining nobility and knights would sit among the low tables, the arrangements organized in such a way that stormlords, riverlords, and northmen could all intermingle and speak with each other in an attempt to build relations between the three regions. After all, House Mallister needed all of them.
