If Se-Ri started up her own business and took it public, how in the world does Sang-A, or anyone within Queens, have the right to call a meeting of a company that is a separate entity, especially to take it over? Unless Se-Ri's Choice is part of the conglomerate with funds/shares distributed to Queens shareholders? Any insights welcome!
Everyone has a public self and a private self and Crash Landing is a much a story of Yoon Se-Ri abandoning or at least greatly modifying her outer self and letting her real self emerged.
The Yoon-Seri we see in the first part of season one is very different from the one who will emerge and be revealed to us in the second half. She is cold if not quite ice cold but is still totally absorbed in her "look but don't touch" public image. The stunning difference is at its most remarkable when she is about to go into the meeting where Sang-a is taking over Se-Ri's choice. She sees Mr. Hong and casts him a glance saying "And Mr. Hong. I have a bone to pick with you." He drops his papers and goes to grab and hug Yoon-Seri saying "We've been looking for you everywhere." She is startled but then realizes Ms. Hong is telling her the truth and gives him a sideways glance but this time it is playful and says something to the effect of "really," knowing that this will lead him to tears and reaffirm his devotion. No way she lets him hug her in the early, totally public Yoon Se-Ri.
The true plague of narcissism is not that they love themselves. Se-Ri knows that it is the alternation from "loving myself to hating myself." To someone like that, there is no equilibrium because the oe side cannot abide the other. It's a defensive exaggeration. Everyone projects perfection publicly and that is the part Se-Ri loves, but internally it's hatred.
