A list of puns related to "Koena Mitra"
Remember these girls? What happened to them and so many others from the 2000s? Which ones do you remember and what happened to them?
Actor Koena Mitra, in a statement slamming producerΒ Karan Johar, has said that his opinion canβt define whether a person is successful or not. She was referring to the criticism Karan has drawn for his comments on actorΒ Sushant Singh Rajputβs death, where heβd admitted to not being there for the actor, who died by suicide on Sunday after a battle with depression.
"Karan Johar does not have the license of this industry,β she told The Times of India. βIt is shown as if he presents or rejects something then it is the ultimate thing. But no, the industry is an ocean and we are tiny little drops in it. He is also a drop in it. No one can decide who works and who should be rejectedβ
Koena continued, βA lot of people have experienced this, he is not the first one. The film industry will not treat you like family till the time your family doesnβt belong to the industry or if you are not a camp follower. Itβs pretty sad. Heβs not the first one and there are many such Sushants in our industry. I would never call him a coward, no one knows what he was going through. No one has the right to call him weak, quitter and that he couldnβt handle it. Maybe he was very angry and knew that it was of no help of showing his anger.β
Further calling out Bollywood hypocrisy, Koena added, βThose writing essays mourning his death used to mock him because he was a TV star. There is a discrimination we have in our industry. If you are from the fashion industry, models canβt do anything, if you are from the TV industry, they say you donβt have a standard, are not of the same category. Imagine the kind of rejection, discrimination John Abraham, Sushmita, Priyanka had to face. I am happy to see them do so well now. A couple of years back a lot of people were behind Priyanka Chopra, trying to finish her. But she was smart enough, she moved out of this mess and has started doing so well.β

I am heart broken :'(
In a country where SUVs can trample people and driver gets away scott-free, here's a conviction that leaves us wondering whether to laugh at our lawmakers or cry at their inability to get the real bad guys ...
>Actor Koena Mitra has been convicted in a check bouncing case and sentenced to six months of imprisonment by the Andheri Metropolitan Court, PTI reported.Β The court has also directed Mitra to pay a compensation of Rs 4.64 lakh to model Poonam Sethi, the complainant in the case.
>
>According to the case filed in 2013, Mitra had borrowed Rs 22 lakh from Sethi over a period of time, but failed to return the entire amount. As per court order, Mitra issued a check of Rs 3 Lakh to Sethi, but the check was dishonoured by the bank.
>
>Sethi, on July 19, 2013 sent a legal notice over the dishonoured check. When Mitra failed to repay the money following the legal notice, Sethi filed a complaint and initiated proceedings against Mitra under the Negotiable Instruments Act.
>
>During the trial of the case, Mitraβs lawyer argued, among other things, that Sethi was a βsmall typeβ model who did not have enough resources to lend her the money. The defence also alleged that Sethi ran an illegal money lending business.
>
>However, the court dismissed the arguments and saidβ βMerely because she (Sethi) did not enter into any service contract with production houses for modelling or in 2012-13 she was doing βsmall typeβ of modelling as compared to the accused, who was allegedly a well-known film artist even prior to 2012-13, will not affect the capacity of Sethi to advance such friendly loan to the accusedβ.
>
>The magistrate also said that if Mitra fails to pay up the compensation amount, she will have to serve further imprisonment of three months.
>
>Mitra has acted in films like βMusafirβ, βEk Khiladi Ek Haseenaβ and βApna Sapna Money Moneyβ.
