(first time post) I am heading down for the weekend, and I was wondering if there would be any other redditors in the area?

Right, so I’m 18F and I feel like I don’t know who the fuck I am. I feel like I don’t have a personality.

Now… I’ve got social anxiety. It’s not too bad I don’t think (getting worse but that doesn’t matter for now) but it prevents me from being “myself” and one thing I do know about myself is that I love the whole rnr/indie concerts and festivals scene. I also love 90s music. I love the look of big festivals and I would love to go to Reading one day. I really envy people who go to festivals and have the time of their lives listening and dancing to their favourite music. I spent last year being jealous of my ex best friend’s Snapchat stories because their friend group had the best time and saw so many people that I’d love to listen to. Fuck being jealous, I wish I could just be happy for them but they seem so confident in themselves, and I start to panic if I accidentally bump into someone at a concert because I feel like they’ll get annoyed with me. Deep down I know it’s a concert and it’s bound to happen and they knew what they signed up for, but I’d still feel guilty. I overthink a lot.

Only thing is, I don’t have anyone my age to do these things with. The only person who would go is my 40 year old sister but I feel like it’s not the same as going with friends around my age. And the idea of me, singing along and having the time of my life without a care in the world, makes me so happy. I just know that I wouldn’t be like that because the thought of me embarrassing myself or just being me makes me sick.

And y’know I really want to go see Liam Gallagher in Knebworth this year but I’ve got nobody to go with, and I’m literally one of the most awkward people I know and I hate it man. I can’t imagine being there without worrying about every little thing I do.

I just wish I could be myself without thinking everything I want to do/everything I do is cringey. Even writing all of this out makes me cringe. I just want to be one of those people who don’t give a fuck what strangers think of them, who can wear clothes without thinking I’m dressing weirdly, who can sit on people’s shoulders at concerts and not care if the people behind can see (not that I’d do that ever because that seems rude to me), who can make friends with anyone anywhere they go, who can be self-confident and proud of the stuff they listen to/the things they love.

I really want advice on how I can stop bullying myself internally and thinking everything I do is awkward… because we only have

I really think In Through The Out Door happened when Jimmy was at the peak of his producing skills. "Carouselambra" is a track where he played with a variety of different textures and shadings, and although it is explosive it is yet controlled.

I genuinely think this was the best piece of music they ever put together. And OK, sure, none of the songs might reach the same level of legacy as "Whole Lotta Love" or "Stairway To Heaven" but some certainly come, in my opinion, REALLY close.

• "In The Evening" with its trumpeting guitar riffs.
• "All My Love" with Bonzo's elephantine and explosive drumming.
• "Carouselambra" with its masterly production work by Page.

Led Zep has always been Page's band, not "Page the Yardbird" but "Page the producer" and it only took his group three weeks in Sweden to complete the LP.

Like it or not, Zep never did anything inconsequential nor small. Even when they stopped doing concerts in Great Britain for 4 years when they returned at Knebworth Festival around 190,000 went to the performance and listened to the group's 3-hour set. Sure, critics trashed that concert but that's no surprise since critics have been trashing Zep since their debut album in 1969.

Zep has this ability to turn a ballad or soft blues into something really intense. "I'm Gonna Crawl" is a perfect example of this. Written between Jones, Page, and Plant it escalates quickly from a soft, smooth, and bright synthesized-strings intro from an intense vocal performance by Robert Plant.

Ever since Led Zeppelin IV (ZoSo, or simply called Untitled) Zep no longer had to rely on 12-bar blues to shine. This album goes as far as to include the Latin-influenced "Fool In The Rain" or the southern-boogie rhythm of "South Bound Saurez" and "Hot Dog" which is a heavy-metal hoe-down that's really not successful at all.

In Through The Out Door might not be too gimmicky of an album (except for the 6 different covers at release), but it sure does show how the band has evolved since they surfaced like a "Moby Dick" in 1969.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
