A list of puns related to "Km Music Conservatory"
I would like know the possibility. I just played the piano for almost 2 years, but I'm trying to get myself into a professional music education. I am now in my 1st year of university. I want to spend my bachelor's degree playing piano and when I graduate I will apply to somewhere of the music conservatory in Europe.
How much do you guys think it's possible for me to get into it? I once asked the famous Russian pianist I respected. He said it will hardly possible, because I wasn't prepared for it during my entire childhood.
A megathread for those applying to music conservatories.

βOne of my parents' deepest fears, I suspect, is that society would not properly value me as a musician, that I wouldn't be appreciated. I had very good grades in high school, I was good in science and math, and they imagined that as a doctor or a research chemist or an engineer, I might be more appreciated than I would be as a musician. I still remember my mother's remark when I announced my decision to apply to music school-she said, "you're WASTING your SAT scores." On some level, I think, my parents were not sure themselves what the value of music was, what its purpose was. And they LOVED music, they listened to classical music all the time. They just weren't really clear about its function. So let me talk about that a little bit, because we live in a society that puts music in the "arts and entertainment" section of the newspaper, and serious music, the kind your kids are about to engage in, has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with entertainment, in fact it's the opposite of entertainment. Let me talk a little bit about music, and how it works.
The first people to understand how music really works were the ancient Greeks. And this is going to fascinate you; the Greeks said that music and astronomy were two sides of the same coin. Astronomy was seen as the study of relationships between observable, permanent, external objects, and music was seen as the study of relationships between invisible, internal, hidden objects. Music has a way of finding the big, invisible moving pieces inside our hearts and souls and helping us figure out the position of things inside us. Let me give you some examples of how this works.
One of the most profound musical compositions of all time is the Quartet for the End of Time written by French composer Olivier Messiaen in 1940. Messiaen was 31 years old when France entered the war against Nazi Germany. He was captured by the Germans in June of 1940, sent across Germany in a cattle car and imprisoned in a concentration camp. He was fortunate to find a sympathetic prison guard who gave him paper and a place to compose. There were three other musicians in the camp, a cellist, a violinist, and a clarinetist, and Messiaen wrote his quartet with these specific players in mind. It was performed in January 1941 for four thousand prisoners and guards in the prison camp. Today it is one of the most famous masterworks in the repertoire.
Given what we have since learned about life in the concentration camps, why would anyone in h
... keep reading on reddit β‘As the title says, I finally decided to seek official instruction instead of fumbling my way through youtube tutorials. Do any of you have any sage words of wisdom as I go through this process?
How can I ask them to stop ? I'm not usally one of those whiney neighbours infact I'm typically one of those socially anxious types but she does this every time her boyfriend stays over and I never sleep right. I just want her to stop and I don't want to cause a fuss
Edit: thanks for the suggestions I do read them ! So far I've just engaged in a bit of sound Warfair by blasting this playlist as loud as my TV will go

If the trucks get out of your 7KM radius AFTER the accident has happened and the "superpower" has gone into effect, the effect will still persist for a full duration.
If a car gets out of the accident radius, the effect is gone and the radios can switch the music again.
If the semi trucks move away from the 27.32 radius around the place where they crashed, the effect will still be applied to cars that enter/pass through the crash zone for the remaining duration of the superpower.
hi i've never actually created a post here! but if there are any juniors (or others) who are planning to apply to music school, specifically conservatories, i am happy to answer questions! it's a confusing process and i know that you likely don't know many others in the same boat, but i have successfully (ish) navigated the process. (and by successfully i mean that i did the applications and auditions and got decisions. were they all good? no. but success is not defined by your college acceptances!)
i'd also just like to celebrate your successes or trash-talk some school for not letting you in or provide emotional support along the way :) also: applying as a music major can be rough because colleges actually see you play or sing or compose and decide if you are accepted, but please remember that this does not define you as a person or musician. if you don't get into juilliard, you are not a failure.
(mainly i just want to meet some music major / conservatory applicant friends. okay thanks :D bye)
Hi!! I'm currently deciding whether I should go to a music conservatory (Juilliard or NEC) or a regular university (UC Berkeley history, USC pre-law/art history, or Boston University History) . My goal is to go to a law school for grad, but I really love music and I want to devote at least a couple years of my life to purely studying music. I was hoping you guys could give me some insight into how likely it is to go to law school with a Bachelor of Music degree. Would a pre-law or history degree be significantly more advantageous? Does the prestige of my undergraduate university matter when applying to law school? (thank you in advance!!)
And are public schools there free for all, or only free to natives?
Recently Iβve been having an issue where when doing an outdoor walk workout, as soon as I reach a kilometre my music pauses. I press play again and then it pauses again at the next kilometre.
Auto pause is turned off in my settings, even though that shouldnβt work. Iβm using AirPods to listen to my music. I canβt seem to find anything else in my settings.
Has anyone else had this issue or have any suggestions?

I've heard from people say 'oh blah is a good school, but it's a conservatory so no' and I was wondering what the difference is between the two
