[Iβm Retired Now]
He said his name was Darryl the first time I met him. He, like me, had more than a fair share of white in his fair. Unlike me, he kept his face clean shaven while I kept my mutton chops perfectly groomed. The first time I met him was when he was coming off world, he asked me for directions to New Jericho shores, the very same retirement village I lived in with an excellent view of the beach and free shuttle service to the town proper.
The second time I met him it was for a game of Mere Chess. Itβs like regular chess, but with some additional rules around movement up and down and across boards. One knew they were getting old when they had to switch to regular chess, and heaven forbid you ever catch me playing checkers. Though even in the middle of the community I could see the blaster at his side. I had never seen one this far out in person, only in the movies of the war that had recently ended as it had started for us: with a news broadcast and nothing more. This far out on the rim almost no one bothered us. Hell, even the pirates only asked for a marginal payment when they shook us down. Poor guy looked like he didnβt want to steal from a bunch of old people, but pirates are pirates and he had a job to do no matter how distasteful.
When he found out I was deaf, he signed to me. It was a welcome change. Most people just talked as I could read their lips and I could talk back. I greatly appreciated it, but his hand gestures were rough, as if he had picked them up through watching and intermittent use, but with my help he improved.
The first day in town was worth remembering. The children, always clamber all over us asking us to tell them stories of our past, most of the people here were old soldiers or the like retired before the most recent war. We all assumed this guy was no different. The old soldiers liked to entertain the kids by shooting old cans as they threw them around. It both entertained the children and reduced waste as any hit could instantly destroy the cans. Darryl however, kept one of the cans bouncing for over a minute by hitting the ground near it with the blaster at his hip. He finally let it stop when the kids started applauding. Personally, I think he could have kept going. When they asked what he had done before. He merely replied that he was retired.
When he jumped into the ocean and swam out to save a child swept away from the shore in a riptide, he made it out and back with the kid. Granted, he couldn

I'm curious about any cards that sit on this level. In my view I can't make a wild deck without Loatheb.
Leeroy Jenkins is still a powerhouse but is limited to more aggro decks, control doesn't play him. Dr Boom had his time but he has fallen off. Reno Jackson has limitations but fits a particular deck archetype. Same with Glen and Baku.
Also this is my sneaky way of finding any hidden wild gems I might not know about.
I'm struck by how on a visual level, the outback reminds me so much of the prototypical desert vista of the American west. Given how Australia was formed as a penal colony, were outlaws in the outback a similar issue? In other words, how does the history of the outback compare to that of the Wild West?
Hello, so recently i have played witcher 1 and at the end if you choose to not give the King of the wild hunt grandmaster's soul, you will have to kill him. So how is king (Eredin) alive in the witcher 3? Is the giving of soul cannon while killing him is not? And what if you import your saves from 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 and you killed him in 1st game?
I've recently finished the book "Blood Meridian" and loved it. It's also helped me develop an interest in the Wild West, and I suppose the real Wild West. As a non-American much of what I know of the subject comes from stuff like Deadwood or Spaghetti Westerns, the latter I know has little standing in reality (the former I'm not sure how to to life it actually is). I'm having trouble finding non-fiction resources on the subject. Any suggestions?
Track 7 on Bruce Hornsby's The Way It Is album, "The Wild Frontier," sounded similar to Huey Lewis's "Back In Time" to me, and I wonder if Huey had any direct input or contribution to that song since he played on other tracks on that album and Bruce has written songs for Huey.
"In Season 1, win 1 game(s) with 7 different legends."
Tiers go 1/5/10/25/50. And then you get that sweet animated badge.
I'm not complaining. I love going for hard/prestigious things, and I am really glad stuff like this is in the game. I hope to see a lot more of it in S2 where only people who complete the hardest/most skillful tasks get skins or badges. But still, basic math here shows that, for example, if you win 3 games every single day for the 90 days you're at 270 wins. 7 legends X 50 wins is 350 wins. You need 4 wins a day for the 90 days, which would be 360.
That means if you win 3 games every day for the next 90 days you still won't get the last tier of the badge. And that's not accounting for the fact that most of the playerbase can't play every single day and definitely can't win at least 3 a day. This badge will likely only be represented by like 0.25 of the playerbase if I had to guess. I consider myself a pretty good player, winning multiple matches in the 2 or so hours I log most days, and still, this badge seems crazy hard and nearly impossible. Personal opinion, but I hope in the future there's a leader board or something and you're given rewards for being top x%.

If you like Star Wars or The Mandalorian you'd love his books on Santiago or The Widow Maker.
Of course he's got many other good reads like his series Tales of Kirinyaga or Oracle.
