A list of puns related to "Kingdom Of Kartli Kakheti"
So I'm working on making 6 Georgia mods for Civ5 (Bagrat III, David IV, Giorgi V, Vakhtang VI (Kartli), Solomon I (Imereti), and Erekle II (Kartli-Kakheti)). And while I think I have the designs mostly figured out for most of them (way too many ideas for David IV lol, but I guess that's what Events and Decisions is for), I've hit a wall for two of them - Solomon I and Erekle II.
I've run out of ideas. Every civ needs a unique ability (UA) plus 2 more unique components, either a unit (UU), building (UB) or improvement (UI) - and I do mean every civ needs 2, or the game will crash, no I'm not kidding. But for Solomon I and Erekle II, I've only been able to come up with 1 each.
For Solomon I, I know he's primarily known for halting the Ottoman slave trade, which can be turned into a UA, and that he แคแแชแแก แแแชแแแ, which can be a UU, but then I run out of ideas - whether specifically connected to Solomon I, or just iconic of early modern Imereti more generally. I know Imereti is known for its wine, but like... wine plantations already exist in the game.
For Erekle II, I know he instituted the แแแ แแแ แฏแแ แ, which could be a Rifleman UU, and the UA could be called "Treaty of the Iberians" and be some sort of city-state/diplomacy bonus, but then I run out of ideas. Edge of Empires and The Making of the Georgian Nation both basically focus on Erekle's foreign policy - how he dealt with Russia, the Ottomans and Iran - and not really at all how Georgia itself operated during the era of Kartli-Kakheti.
I'm hoping someone more knowledgeable about Imeruli or Kartli-Kakhetian history can suggest something to fill the gap - something unique to, or at least iconic of, that time period.
I've asked about this before, and last time someone suggested a book titled แกแแแฎแแแ แ แกแแฅแแ แกแแฅแแ แแแแแแจแ แฃแซแแแแแกแ แฎแแแแแแ XVIII แกแแฃแแฃแแแก แแแแแแแ by แแแฉแแแแซแ แแแแ แแ, which I got a copy of (despite not speaking Georgian... but at least I have Google Translate?), but unfortunately it doesn't seem to say much specific about the Imeruli army from this time period... except maybe this:
> แฏแแ แแก แจแแงแ แ แแแแ แแแจแ แฌแแ แแแแแแ แกแแงแแแ แแแแก แฎแแแ. แแแแฃแแแแแ แแแแแแแแแ แจแแแแฆแแแแฃแ แแแแแแแแแ,

Ark'otveli Shushanik was residing in K'olkheti when she received some good news from the North, in the form of a new Daspat coming to swear fealty. Daspat Aleksander of Hypaneti ruled over the lands of Hypaneti, surrounding the northern course of the Hypanis (Kuban) river. His people were, essentially, Cherketians of another name. He spoke their dialect of Zygian/Jiqetlian and was very much welcomed by Shushanik. He asked to retain his title as the only non-negotiable item. Reluctantly, Shushanik accepted.
This would set up future northern campaigns for the Saark'otveli in the future.
###The seizure of Kartli
Kartli fell faster than Imereti. Kartli was, in fact, made of two territories, Kartli and Kakheti. It was ruled by a Daspat, Azat.
Azat was a cruel man who had reacted to Shushanik's Edict on rights and representation by killing the messengers who had relayed this information and cracking down on what he perceived as a challenge to his rule. He was not a fan of Shushanik. His brother, Isidore, very much was. Thus began a 3 year long campaign to overthrow the Daspat in Tbilisi and replace him with his loyal brother.
It took many weeks to plan, and as mentioned, 3 years to achieve, but the basic plan was to arm some peasants over time and start a peasant revolt in the name of Isidore. Isidore was popular because he, y'know, liked basic human rights. To the poor, he was Isidore Kargi - the Good, and he was teaming up with Shushanik the Law-Giver. Even in the medieval period, image mattered.
Azat was eventually ousted after the peasants rose up and besieged his fortress in Tbilisi. After a month, one of his own bodyguards killed him and threw his body from the walls of the fortress. The people entered the fortress, and offered Isidore the crown of Kartli. Instead, he presented it to Shushanik, and swore fealty to her.
###Kโaribchโe
After this, Shushanik went to the Central Gate, one of the three K'avk'azian Gates. She had called for her vassals to meet her here. They were in a group, while Shushanik stood at the edge of the small river that flowed through the Gate.
She walked back to them, and announced that she had been praying to Haitor and that through these prayers had discerned that here, this gorge, was to be the residence of the Ark'otveli. A fortress was to be constructed - K'aribch'e - and it was

He slowly picked up one with the seal of his son, Demetre and sliced it open. Good news he thought as he read through the letter which detailed a successful diplomatic mission to the Sepianebi (Safavids) in the east. The next letter he opened was a short and curt note from his eldest son Giorgi letting him know he was displeased at being rejected from being allowed more authority, That boy needs to pray away that anger before he bursts, Alexโsandre thought to himself as he sighed. The old King stood and groaned as he pushed his chair back so he could walk over to the large map that laid softly on the table. The map was adorned with little drawings of castle locations and the yearly borders of the surrounding area. On top were little figures depicting known military forces and areas where levies could be drawn in an emergency.
Alexโsandre sighed as he looked over the map, the Safavids had gained land and the recent unification of the Armenian kingdoms boded ill for the small Kingdom of Kakheti. Closer to the east was the Muslim Khanate of Sheki that had never grown friendly with his own Kingdom, Giorgi always wanted to rid us of their presence he thought to himself. Despite all the neighbours of Kakheti they were still safe in the mountains and castles that dotted the Kingdom. Alexโsandre had secured many friends over his rule and was known for being a man of trustworthiness and open to beneficial friendships no matter your religion. While an older man, the King of Kakheti has years left to push the Kingdom into greatness and establish a prestigious line for all future Bagratโioni Kings.
The Kingdom of Kakheti is abundant with choices that will either make them great or send them to the dirt. Only time will tell what will happen under the Georgian Bagratโioni family and their patriarch Alexโsandre.
In the private gardens of Ananuriโฆ
Mepe Alexโsandre walked through his private garden admiring the flowers and the plants he had grown. It was peaceful out in the garden, fresh air and pleasant smells filled the area. It was the old Mepeโs only place he could be alone without being interrupted by his advisors or even worse his spiteful eldest son Giorgi. Alexโsandre sat peacefully breathing deeply and taking time to mull over the problems of the Kingdom, admiring the statues that adorned the garden and listening to the songbirds singing. It was tranquil, before a loud slamming of a gate broke the Mepe out of his calm and forcing his attention to Giorgi angrily stomping over the grass. There was almost peace, the Mepe thought to himself as Giorgi approached with a letter in his hand.
โWhat is this father? Another commendation for Demetre?โ Giorgi practically spat, โYou know I could have done even better than him but you wonโt give me a chance!โ
Mepe Alexโsandre raised his palm to calm his son.
โThere are plans for you yet, be patient my son. Much greater plans than being a diplomat to the Muslims in the east.โ
โStop treating me like a fool, you donโt trust me with any authority yet you give all the glory to my younger brother?!โ
โMy dear son, how else am I able to groom you into the perfect heir if you are a thousand nights away. I need you here by my side.โ
Giorgi scowled at his father before crumpling up the letter and dropping it on the ground, then walking away in a sulk. His father watched him walk away and shook his head while thinking to himself The boy needs patience otherwise heโs going to do something he will regret. Alexโsandre sighed as he clasped his hands in prayer, only God would know how to solve a jealous brother.
In the throne-room of Ananuri..
Giorgi paced back and forwards as he muttered to himself indignantly as one of his personal guards walked up to him. Giorgi grabbed the man by the shoulders and pulled him close.
โListen, ask the Mtavari of Kakheti for their views on my ageing and soon to be senile father, I think he wishes to give my inheritance to Demetre.โ Giorgi whispered maniacally.
โOf course myโฆโ before the guard could continue Giorgi interrupted him.
โFind evidence of their treason, by any means necessary. I will find proof of their plans to rid me of what is rightfully mine!โ
The guard was about to speak before Giorgi looked at him and said โ*

To the East, Alexander of Kakheti styles himself as the rightful ruler of Georgia, a clear challenge to Constantine's throne. To the West, Alexander II of Imereti, indeed himself a former King of Georgia, has made his claim to the Georgian throne also. Surrounded by enemies, what remains of the legitimate and true Kingdom of Georgia is left but in the royal lands of Kartli under a despot who seized power by coup.
Georgia, a unique bastion of Christian, Orthodox rule, is beset on all sides by hostile enemies. The Ottoman Sultan, who might seek to spread Islam by the sword, has clear interests in Armenia and Georgia. Meanwhile, the stirrings of Khans and Kings in Persia threatens the rise of yet another Shah or other mad ruler from the Orient to subjugate Georgia too. Even the North beckons fear, as while the Caucasus prevent any immediate threat, should the Circassians or Crimeans grow particularly restless, Georgia might suffer the consequences.
Internally, Constantine had a somewhat weak rule. The royal court has often disobeyed him, and his attempts to shore up support by appealing to Christdom have been met with silence. His four sons, David, George, Bagrat and Melchizedek are often arrogant, vying for power and embarrassing the King at many events. His inability to both control his sons reflects on a startling inability to control his Kingdom. Of his sons, George shows the most potential, as an educated man with indepth knowledge of the bible and military experience. David, though less competent, is still a suitable successor, though his cruelty towards women and low standing amongst the Georgian nobility is often a source of frustration for King Constantine.
A feudal and poor state in the Caucasus, it seems that wealth is an unrealistic prospect for Georgia and its agrarian economy. There are no Genoan traders, Chinese silk or Indian spices reaching Georgia... merely small farm holdings and castles. There is to be no future reform in Georgia - the peasant armies of centuries before and the economy left behind by the Byzantine Empire is what remains. The centralised economy means the crown holds great property, often coming into conflict with the Georgian church, but this is unlikely to spur any thoughts of reformation.
An ancient and proud church, the Georgian Orthodox Church has been thrown into c

Hey all, I have posted once before but concerning a different item. I was pretty anxious about posting this and I'm really only looking to trade with people who have confirmed trades at the moment. I understand if that might be problematic, but it would make me feel more comfortable since I will be sending first.
Have:
Nintendo 64 Console:
https://imgur.com/a/pmxDV5h (Backs of games, requested)
The console comes with various games, most notably Ocarina of Time and 007 Golden Eye (Peeled/worn off label)
Before you offer for this please understand that this console, while it works, does have issues. First off, I was cheap and when the AVI cables stopped working I just spliced them together. It 100% works as long as it doesn't move much. The next issue is the grey controller. While it works just fine, there is a slight cut in it. If you rub your fingers down the cord you will feel it. Analog sticks for both controllers are the same. They move in a weird way, but I'm not sure if that is a N64 thing or not as this is the only N64 I have ever owned. It's not a problem and does not affect gameplay. The memory pak does work, though I think it is full. Not sure much beyond that. All games except for Top Gear Rally can be confirmed to work. While I don't use it often, I do value this console. I would be looking to put it toward another console more than likely. Open to offers.

King Constantine II has long since overseen a fractured and devolved court, with many of his nobles either leaving the court to join the rebel princes in the west and east, or courtiers simply being too expensive to keep on retainer. While inevitably those interested in power and money flock to influence the King at court, there is still generally a dearth of skilled advice available to the King at any moment, and even less in a given moment.
In order to improve the quality of the Royal Court and to hopefully increase crown revenues in the future, the King has ordered for a set of laws to be introduced to help reform the finances and organisation of the court. Significant centralisation is set to occur, which may frustrate some nobles, but is necessary, with the country having been gutted of its territory.
The Royal Court was best described in the Regulations of the Royal Court, a legal document which has provided a blueprint for royal government for decades now. However, it has become outdated, and increasingly autocratic rulers in Europe provide a blueprint for more modern styles of government. Ministers of State, previously serving from the noble class, often assembled from local land lords, will instead be appointed learned men. Similarly, the Privy Council, which has mostly only included the King's most senior vassals, will now include a large section of the lower lords and the burghers of the cities, to help balance out power.
The Treasury will also be reformed. The Minister of the Chancellory has long since had near full control over both royal and state assets, which has often been suspect to great corruption as a position. Cream off the top must be cut. Two new positions will be created, the Minister of the Crown, and the Minister of the Treasury. The first will handle royal assets, and will be granted to a leading noble, under threat of death and confiscation of their inheritance if they are discovered to engage in corruption. The second will handle state assets, and will be granted to a learned man.
Hopefully these reforms will provide for a more professional system of government, rather than the feudal system inherited from the old Byzantine Empire.
The composition of the Privy Council is as follows:
Now that summer has returned to the Caucasus, the invasion of Kartli has resumed. The forces of Samstkhe advance from the southwest toward Narikala fortress. This time, they have brought their best artillery and dice so as to better besiege the fortress.
The Ossetian forces, having checked the weather forecast and equipped themselves with nice boots, march over the Gate of the Alans to attack Kartli's northern flank.
Here is the strategy of the Mzetchabuk's Georgians and the Ossetians. This advance has been calculated so as to reduce Ossetian losses. The soldiers are prepared to set up crude defenses if need be. Barjond Pakh hopes to use the mountainous terrain to his advantage. His main intention is to spread Kartli's army thin so as to ensure an eventual victory for the Alliance.

Ossetia and Samtshke march on Kartli, hoping to divide and conquer! The defenders of Kartli respond by holing up at defensive castles, refusing to meet in open combat. They split their armies in Tbilisi and Gori, with their pikemen at Tbilisi and the rest at Gori. The attackers had planned for open combat rather than attacking a city, and as a result find themselves saddened at the utter lack of combat. It seems a siege is in order.
At Tbilisi, the defenders hold out for 28 months before giving in and surrendering to Samtshke's army, which outnumbers them by quite a margin. The attacking army loses 87 light ranged, 50 pike, and 160 militia in varying skirmishes, while the defenders desert, giving up.
At Gori, the defenders put up more of a fight and show more resilience, and continue to hold out at the siege. Various skirmishes have the attacking Ossetian force at 300 militia dead, as well as 50 musketmen. The defenders, however, lose 590 militia, and 100 musketmen. Gori still remains untaken, though it is clear that the defenders cannot hold out for more than a year, at most. Perhaps the time is now to make peace - or, sally forth and crush the attackers.
My apologies for the very slow response in this war; certain participants were slow or very very lacking in the war orders presented. Much of the battle had to be improvised due to the utter lack of actual combat that the attackers presumed would be present, and the defender was rather insistent on holding the walls rather than sallying forth or meeting the attackers head-on.
