A list of puns related to "Kindle Store"
Hey folks! For those who've been on the fence about reading Crescent City, or like me checked it out from the library and would like their own (albeit digital) copy, I just saw it was on sale in the Amazon Kindle Store for $2.99. Happy reading!
Hi team,
This is going to be a specific post to peeps outside the US.
I want to try out Kindle Unlimited (damn you Ice Planet Barbarians) but my Kindle account is still linked to the US store, not the AUS store, and to get KU it needs to be. Has anyone transferred their account recently and:
When I try to load the store or goodreads the kindle shows the connection/loading spinner and then sits there for a few minutes before stating "Kindle Store encountered an unexpected error"
I updated the firmware via uploading the .bin file to the device and rebooting, so I don't think it's to do with the Kindle being out of date.
I'm looking to see if there's anything else I can do before trying a full device restart (wiping it clean).
As mentioned, I can use the browser and load up webpages, so there's no issue with connecting online.
EDIT:
Update
I did a factory reset. Added Wifi info and then was asked to log in via an existing Amazon account or create new. I tried logging in with my account and I just get the same kind of error saying it cannot connect. So I've essentially bricked the unit I guess. Without logging in I can't get to the books.
UPDATE 2
I phoned Amazon who took me through the firmware update (which I'd already done, but did it again just to be sure) and the results were the same. The device cannot connect to Amazon so I cannot log in to my account and download my books.
The solution Amazon offered me was a 15% discount on a new device because my perfectly fine book that was running amazingly well is now obsolete and cannot be used.
One published by Gallery Books (β¬11,42 and 333 pages), the other by Titan Books (β¬9,62 and 278 pages). Does the first one have any extra content, or is the difference in the number of pages simply due to formatting?
Just finished Renegades in my attempt to catch up on the Halo lore before Infinite, really loved it!
A double whammy today, as both The City of Brass and The Kingdom of Copper are 99p on the UK Kindle store!
I've personally only read the first book (but have the second and third on my Kindle) and although I struggled with some parts of it (the romance is... very tropey, especially if you're familiar with YA fiction), I enjoyed some of the other characters a lot more. Nahri and Dara didn't do it for me, but Ali is a cinnamon roll and I really liked everything about him and his arc. The worldbuilding itself is interesting and I really felt like the author gave herself a lot to work with here (and I hope a lot of it gets a chance to shine in the second and third books). The conflict is really well set up and I could actually see how much of it is based in real life conflicts, and that Chakraborty made an effort to make this accessible, via the glossary and her own website.
Yes, it does hit on some of the YA tropes that others dislike, but I do think it tries to be different from other works and actually make use of the setting and religion, rather than just using it as window dressing. For 99p, there are worse choices you could make.
Bingo squares (for the first book only!): Set in Asia, Bookclub OR Readalong book, New to you author, Backlist, Cat squasher, Chapter titles, Title: ___ of ___, Debut author
Hey everyone,
Today is the launch day for the audio book version of the third book in my JRPG inspired Arcane Ascension series, The Torch that Ignites the Stars.
To celebrate, the Kindle version of my second Weapons & Wielders book, Diamantine, is on sale for 0.99 on the US and UK Kindle stores. (Sorry to people from other regions! It's a Kindle Countdown Deal, and sadly those don't work anywhere else yet.)
For those of you who aren't familiar with the books, my novels are heavily influenced by classic Japanese games like Final Fantasy, Ys, Tales, Fire Emblem, and The Legend of Zelda. This series in particular has a lot of similarities to Trails in Cold Steel and Fire Emblem: Three Houses, in that they involve a mixture of adventuring and magical school content in a setting with a blend of magic and technology.
Arcane Ascension and Weapons & Wielders take place in the same setting. The first two Weapons & Wielders books have a frame story where they're being on told on a train ride between the second and third Arcane Ascension books, and they involve some of the same characters. Reading Diamantine before The Torch that Ignites the Stars adds some extra context to the story, but it isn't in any way required.
The third Weapons and Wielders book, Soulbrand, is almost finished - I'm hoping to have preorders up later today. More announcements coming soon, too.
Feel free to ask questions if you have them, and I hope that everyone enjoys the books!
Edit: Preorders for Soulbrand are up now! You can find them here.
Currently I have about 100 books in my device but some people say don't store much books and delete ones you read.
I was surfing on Amazon's kindle library, when I came across "Invincible" comic. I had heard about the show, so I thought I'd try sample. What I saw kinda shocked me. The page was in the wrong orientation and the the footer still had the name of the website it was pirated from. WTH Amazon, you can't do that. You shouldn't do that. I don't want to post a picture so as to not break the anti-piracy rules of the sub. I tried contacting Amazon but no response. Don't know who to take this up with. Would appreciate your help.
I am waiting for an official English release for Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu and am therefore frequently searching for Moon-led Journey on Amazon.
Today, I finally received some results for kindle ebooks and was already in the process of buying the series when I noticed that the author was listed as "Andrea D Dottenwhy."
...that is not the author that I was expecting (Azumi Kei), nor could I see the illustrator's name (Matsumoto Mitsuaki) or publishing house (Alpha Polis) anywhere.
Since I am suspecting that this a ripped fan translation, I tried raising the issue with Amazon but since I am not the rightsholder, that did not seem very fruitful. I also send an email to the publishing house but since I had to rely on google translate for their webpage, I am not sure I used the right contact address for the topic.
Is there anything else that can be done? Does anyone know about this "Andrea D Dottenwhy"?
EDIT
The Taskmaster book's Kindle version is missing on the US store. It's not missing on any other country's store, but I have a US Amazon account that I buy all of my Kindle books on. Why is it gone from the US store?
I am looking to purchase Andy Weirβs new novel Project Hail Mary, but Iβm not able to find it on the Kindle Store. However, if I search on google, I can find it on the Amazon website, where its Kindle Edition is shown to be available. Why am I not able to find it on the Kindle Store though? And what can I do to fix this issue?
I have written about 30 or so books and published them through KDP. I'm wondering if I can link my account to my kindle and look at my books on it, without having to buy them.
Foreign Faction is now available for 'print-on-demand' paperback book orders in Canada, Australia, and other European nations. It has also been released back to the Amazon Kindle store for the electronic version.

I'm sure I can't be the only Kobo owner who looks at the books on promotion on the Kobo Store and then goes to check out the reviews of the book on Amazon. There's usually a far greater number of reviews on the Amazon site and it's possible to get a truer picture of whether the book might be to your liking. When visiting the Kindle store to check the reviews I notice that the prices alwys seem to be in sync, that if it is a 99p promotion on the Kobo store, it will also be that price on the Kindle store. I expect there's some sort of tracking algorithm involved to counter any pricing discrepancies.
how should i get books from the kindle store in a country where it is not supported
