Hi everyone, I downloaded the update from the Kia website, followed the instructions religiously, but the car itself wonβt let me update, saying that it doesnβt find the update files on the flash drive. Can somebody help me out a bit? π

Purchased as a second car / runabout (to the Seltos we got last year) and as the vehicle of choice to teach our teenage daughter to drive.
This 4 cylinder 1.25ltr GTLine took 3 months to arrive after ordering (to Australia). One of the reasons being that we wanted a manual and the local dealer explained that this was now a rare request. We've now had this car 8 months and has done about 7,000kms.
I drive a kia picanto .... it's a really light weight car I wanna make the car more durable and more capable something like a rally car (I live in a third world African country and the roads are pretty fucked down here ) Any mods recommended ...?
They are asking for Β£2995 and it has passed its last 3 MOT's with only the one advisory above.
Ho un budget di circa 12 000 euro e sto cercando un utilitaria da usare per casa-lavoro. Comoda e che consumi poco.
Ho provato a dare un'occhiata alla c1 e alla Peugeot 108, ma sono troppo "macchinette" (nessuna offesa sia chiaro xD).
Invece ho visto la Kia Picanto, mi sembra veramente interessante.
L'offerta del concessionario Γ¨ 12 200 versione urban bianca, benzina con techno pack e ruotino (volendo 12 000 se gli chiedo di togliere il kit di cortesia, che sarebbe poi?)
Cosa ne pensate? PuΓ² essere una scelta interessante?

today i got my new kia, in white with red accents and new kia sign. itβs so much fun with carplay (not wireless, only android auto is wireless) and all the extras. i got more than i expected. itβs my second kia. any questions?

Rough night for me.
My car was parked outside my house on a slightly rainy night. It had been last used about 8 hours before with no issues. Suddenly at around 3am, we wake up to loud cracking and sparks. In minutes, we see bright orange outside. The entire engine bay is on fire. We are able to put it out with some fire extinguishers.
After all is said and done, it's pretty obvious that the car is done for (Pics: Imgur: The magic of the Internet ).
Possible key info: The car was recently partially flooded. 2 weeks ago, a big typhoon hit my area and we had flash floods. Water got up to just below the glove box inside. The car battery was removed before any of all of this. It was completely dried, taken to a mechanic, given a thorough checking, and repaired. Brakes were replaced and the clutch was cleaned/restored. We were using the car for more than 1 week before the fire.
So now we're lost with what to do. I guess the best thing would be selling it off to a salvage yard for parts to recoup at least some money back? Is there a chance that our local dealership may be of any help? We're also still wondering what could have caused this. It looks like the battery may be the culprit, but it was only a year old.
