Hey guys, we will have some news this week but we are just waiting for a few little details. As much as we would like to say that we have a committment and a team coming to Lexington, that is not the case just yet.....YET. We are still at the spot where we have an interested ownership group but not a committment from Rupp.
I did want to touch on something that I've seen a lot on this page. Rupp Arena/Lease. Before the Rupp lease was up the Thoroughblades were sold to the Gund brothers, the owners of the Sharks at the time. They also owned the Gund Arena (now Quicken Loans Arena) in Cleveland. When the Throughblades were sold to them, the team was gone. Period. Rupp Arena had no chance of holding the team because the owner also owned a an arena in Cleveland. A lot of the blame gets thrown on Rupp for the team leaving but they couldn't compete with the arena in Cleveland.
We've had several meetings with Rupp. The potential ownership goup has met with Rupp. Financially, it can work. Very little issue there. No one, to our knowledge, is building an 8,000 seat arena here. Our only viable option is Rupp. What this movement does need is Rupp's support and the Mayor's support. We have been in contact with both mayoral candidates and will give you updates when we can.
We hope to provide you a forum where you can express your interest to both mayoral candidates. As always, we appreciete your passion and dedication to the cause.

Hey everyone! I am from Lexington, Kentucky and go to school at a university in the south where cool and retro jerseys are sort of a staple clothing. Some of my earliest memories are at Kentucky Thoroughblades games, so I can't think of a cooler way to represent my home state than by getting a jersey to wear out and show off! However, I have been looking for one for years and have failed numerous times finding one. I am a XL or XXL and would take any color at a reasonable price. Any help would be amazing! Thanks!
My holy grail of a jersey find is an old Kentucky Thoroughblades (AHL) jersey from the 90s. If anyone has one they are willing to part with, please let me know.
so i have a very, very basic understanding of hockey (mostly due to my mom dating an assistant coach of the Kentucky Thoroughblades in the late 90s), and iโm a Ducks fan (shocker, i love the Mighty Ducks). but my knowledge of the NHL is extremely surface level.
if someone could give me a basic rundown of the NHL teams/players in NBA terms to help me better understand, that would be amazing!
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
