So I popped over to the "main sub" to see what was on the muppet hive mind. To my surprise, and while the Avery case hangs in the balance and awaits an extremely important imminent decision from the State Supreme Court, the muppets decide to make their top 3 articles about Ken Kratz, the former Calumet County Prosecutor who hasn't been involved in this case in about the past 15 years.
This avenue of analysis always eluded me - not sure what the point is. Attacking Kratz's private conduct which is completely irrelevant to the Avery case is simply just a waste of time. It's not going to overturn the conviction nor will it make Steven Avery look like a good guy in comparison (for whatever that's worth). And it sure doesn't make Zellner look like an effective lawyer in comparison. Despite Avery being obviously framed and the Greatest Exonosomething Lawyer ever on the case to expose the framing, the Kratz conviction remains rock solid. Kratz's conviction continues to deal defeat after defeat to Zellner and the muppets (which is an interesting band name).
But what it does tell me is that the muppets are far more interested in beating that dead horse than following and anticipating the Supreme Court decision. I'd say they're throwing in the towel, but not sure any of them have seen a towel.

Brendan confessed to raping and stabbing Teresa in the stomach in Steven's trailer on Steven's bed, LE than investigated the supposed scene of the crime and found NO biological OR material evidence to support the confessed bloody crime scene. This was all done BEFORE Kratz held his press conference, in which he used Brendan's knowingly unsupported by ANY evidence confession as FACT to sway public opinion on Steven and Brendan's guilt.
This popped up on Netflix here in Ireland a few weeks ago so I decided to watch it and all I can say is WOW. I'd never heard of it before and only had a passing knowledge of that portion of American history but much like when I watched Ken Burns Vietnam, I don't want it to end. The voice narration, the talking heads, the visuals and the stories are all wrapped up in this fantastic package that is addictive viewing. Some of the stories are absolutely tragic and lend a real humanity and groundedness (if that's a word) to what you are watching. What happened to the native Americans in particular was an absolute disgrace (the Chinese and American Mexicans didn't fare much better either). Has anyone else seen it?
IS like saying a painter has no control over what they paint on a piece of paper, Ken is the drug addicted artist that painted Steven Avery's conviction, and he's so happy with it !!!
I haven't seen this Ken Kratz interview posted. It starts with him expressing his disappointment with the President of the United States for not standing behind LE in the the SA case. Apparently Mr. Kratz is upset that President Obama only stated that he doesn't have the authority to pardon SA and BD. At one point, he states that he's actually glad that jurors were exposed to his (KK's) unprofessional televised news conference regarding the sick and demented coercion of a "confession" of an innocent 16 year old child !!

Would it actually be legally possible for the prosecutor who put him behind bars to advocate for him at his appeal?
Was Steven Avery actually being serious here? Did he actually think this could work?
Has this ever happened before or is SA the first person ever to try and hire his own prosecutor to appeal his conviction?
The Ken Hudson case has been on my radar for a long period of time. I have dedicated a small fortune of time researching the case from tip to tail.
But I wasn't the only one looking into the case, examining its glaring investigative shortcomings, the inconsistent laboratory analysis from the State Crime Lab in Madison to an unbelievable laundry list of lost and grossly mismanaged evidence, dispatch tapes and most importantly a self erasing confession tape! ......This case screams set up and frame job!
Alas, an entire team has been studying this case from Northwestern University... and their investigation is bearing some unearthly fruits. Like Steve Avery's case, Ken's now has important eyes transfixed and his odyssey has now found an inquiring audience.

The Staggering Saga Of Ken Hudson
I had briefly touched on Ken's case in the Pawnless Endgame because it is an important case. I included it as a parallel to Steven's case because I felt at the time that if they could... "Do it to Ken on April 3rd, 2001, then they goddamn certainly could without a doubt do it to Steven Avery on March 18th, 2007" .... that is to convict an innocent man of a murder he did not commit.
Ken's case is a fascinating, yet shimmering pile of shit in a vast gravel pit filled with deceit and treachery and its "true-truth" isn't much of secret amongst those who help put Ken Hudson, or Steven Avery for that matter behind bars for life.
From the locally connected law enforcement officers and a State Crime Lab willing to bend the DNA results to help win the BIG convictions for ethically challenged prosecutors.... all the way up to a State Agency available for back slaps and kick backs, distinguished service awards and all of the congratulations a good ole'boy could want along the way.
I would wager a small bet that the Ken Hudson's case wasn't a secret to THE PENCIlL or his minions at the MTSO either.
