A list of puns related to "Kelton"
Hi! Iโm new to this but I have a question! A few months ago, Josie did a Q&A and somebody asked if she and Kelton saved their first kiss for marriage and she shook her head โno.โ Was this ever mentioned on the show?? I donโt remember
On her stories, Josie says she and Kelton are going to a banquet for some pro-life organization his company donated to called the Choices Resource Center. Just something their site says:
"Many of our clients donโt understand what is happening to their body or their developing baby. Clients are often also unaware of what types of abortions are performed, what will happen to their bodies during the procedure, or the risks associated with an abortion." ๐
For some reason, I've alwaya had a soft spot for Josie, but that snapped me right out of it. And I'm kind of surprised she shared this so publicly because she tends to toe this blurry line of avoiding politics and more controversial topics. Anyway, just another reminder of this family's beliefs and how cute beige clothes and pinterest houses mean nothing.

Lately I've been re-reading Chapter 2 of Stephanie Kelton's 2020 book, The Deficit Myth." I've been re-reading this chapter -- entitled "Think of Inflation" -- for two reasons.
First, so that I'm ready to participate in a study group devoted to this book being organized by a West Coast subscriber to our list.
Second, with recent spikes in consumer prices, "inflation" has become the dominant topic in the media and blogosphere. Everyone has an opinion about it. At a recent meeting of the New York Deficit Owls, one member reported being taunted by friends who were insisting that rising prices "proved" that MMT "is wrong." While I doubt that these people have taken the time to study Modern Money Theory, it is nonetheless true that people expect MMT advocates to have something to say about recent price increases.
So what should we say? In this post I am going to discuss some limitations of Kelton's discussion in the "Think of Inflation" chapter. I'm not going to be arguing that anything Kelton says is outright wrong. Rather, I'm going to address three topics:
I'll handle the first two bullet points in today's posting. I'll handle the third bullet point in a day or two.
Talking about inflation is difficult because macroeconomics is difficult
Here is a list of some of the concepts which Kelton introduces or uses in Chapter 2 of The Deficit Myth:
Is your head spinning yet?
That's not surprising. These are the kind of concepts you might study

Now, I LOVE me some Chad - heโs a close close second- but he doesnโt put his foot down with Erin when he should. Like needing a larger home, or setting boundaries with all the assignments they give him .
I feel like , Kelton definitely would make responsible โheadshipโ decisions such as , buying a bigger home when they have 5 kids and he wouldnโt allow Josie or himself to be taken advantage of!
I think he absolutely adores and respects Josie. And every single thing he does is for the love of her.
I know he gets a lot of hate on here for folks saying he courted her underage. That theory has been exhausted and proved incorrect by those who know them- so Iโd like to stay away from that if we can
So , with that said, I think Kelton is one of the best spouses and is matched perfectly with Josie.

Hey Fellow Turners,
I'm about to receive a set of Kelton Hollowing tools for one of my Christmas presents. Do any of you have any tips, tricks or pieces of advice that you have to share? Sharpening techniques? Vibration reduction?

This is the second of two postings I'm making as I'm re-reading Chapter 2 of Stephanie Kelton's 2020 book, The Deficit Myth. The first posting is here. This post is adapted from the Modern Monetary Theory google group.
Yesterday my comments fell into two broad categories:
Both of these mean that Chapter 2 of Kelton's book is more difficult than other parts of the book. Today I want to address one further topic.
The world has changed -- somewhat -- since The Deficit Myth was written
Modern Money Theory emerged in the mid-1990s. In the MMT perspective, from then until 2020, the primary macroeconomic problem faced by monetarily sovereign countries like the U.S. was the underutilization of human resources -- not inflation. MMT advocates consistently criticized central banks and capitalist governments for austerity programs that used higher unemployment to strangle the slightest inflationary pressures in the cradle. They argued that governments could take much more vigorous steps toward eliminating involuntary unemployment by offering a Job Guarantee at a wage fixed to anchor prices. With a Job Guarantee in place, there would be little upward pressure on prices until and unless the economy came close to maxing out utilization of both human and non-human productive resources. Only at the ceiling of full employment of the labor force would the inflationary constraint kick in.
While the initial impact of COVID-19 was a sharp increase in the unemployed portion of the labor force, the longer-term impact has been a contraction in the overall size of the labor force. The ceiling has come down lower.
Example: I know a woman who was employed as a pediatrician and whose husband works in television. They were expecting a second child and expected to place that child in the same daycare center as their first. When the COVID crisis hit, the daycare center closed. The woman had to quit her medical job to care for two children. According to the categories defined by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, she's not unemp

Worth the read. I saw this on an old post as Iโm new to the group. He had his sights set on Josie to say the least. Considering she was around 14 from what I can tell when this began to transpire, I would be wary. Kelton and I are 4 days apart in age and I would have never even looked at a 14 year old when I was 18. He was upset and jealous about Tori and Bobby too.
Hey does anyone knows what band is playing near kelton? it sounds amazing!
I am new to MMT so please forgive my lack of understanding. I recently watched a clip from Stephanie Kelton regarding government spending. She stated that the Federal Reserve credited the Treasuryโs account with enough money needed to pay for the CARES Act. The exact quote was โThe reserves get created by the Fed on behalf of the Treasury.โ Can someone walk me through the double entry accounting that takes place when this happens? It is my understanding that the Fed is currently not allowed to directly purchase Gov debt. It seems like I am missing a step. Thanks in advance!

>Unfortunately, baby Hazel had some minor complications that required us to transport her to the NICU. She is stable and on pace for a good recovery, but it appears itโs going to be a few more days before we get to take her home. Please pray for her speedy recovery. ๐๐ผ

>Full update from @/josie_balka soon.
One of Josie's sisters posted a picture last night & it looked like Hazel was receiving phototherapy for jaundice. Not sure if that wasn't working or there was another issue.
Edit for Josie's update:
>Thank you all so much for your love and kind remarks as we celebrate the birth of our daughter, Hazel. She is so precious to us; her sweet cry has us wrapped around her little, adorable finger already. ๐๐
>
>Jeremiah says, โI know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. Plans to prosper you, not to harm you, to give you hope and a futureโ. From the very beginning of her life, Hazel has been teaching us to honor Godโs plans above our own. Routine bloodwork in the first trimester revealed that Hazelโs pregnancy was complicated by an exceedingly rare blood condition, unlike anything the doctors had seen before. Basically, for reasons unknown and possibly as a result of our previous miscarriage, Josieโs blood and Hazelโs were fighting against each other. We consulted with specialists, prayed, and put our tiny daughterโs life in His loving hands. God answered prayers, she overcame odds, & all tests began to be overwhelmingly reassuring.
>
>However, shortly after her birth, she began to show signs that her body needed extra help due to complications from her condition. She developed a type of jaundice unique to her situation, & we transported to the Childrenโs Hospital NICU in the early hours of the morning, where she is being monitored by teams of highly skilled doctors and nurses. She is stable in every other way, and right now is just requiring supportive care to help bring down her bilirubin levels, while her body slowly removes the antibodies fighting against her blood. We praise God for his mercies & pray that her condition remains stable and continues to improve. We covet your prayers with us & are so grateful for the love and community that surrounds us here. โค๏ธ Love to you all,
