I had the idea since about a decade ago, and there were also producers that asked me about creating an original work that doesn't involved SF and isekai elements. So, about five years ago, I came up with the idea of challenging a new genre. I entered this industry probably around after 1985, when Gundam was at the peak of its popularity, Gundam opened up a new chapter, and I think that it lasted all the way until now. Animation is a kind of entertainment, especially in recent years, this trend has become more obvious, and I feel that currently it's very close to movies for amusement, but such anime should be made by young creators. We've been in this industry for almost three decades, it's time to enter an all-new field for anime, to explore all-new possibilities, it's probably about time to make something new. While I was thinking about this, I happened to receive the job for this.

When I was first tasked with this, I think what they wanted more was anime like those today, so a rather entertainment-first production. But I felt that it wasn't enough, it's also good to explore the possibilities in animation. I personally want to reflect the times through anime. I don't simply want to describe the current things that are fun, but more to make an anime that will express the pains and troubles that children have to deal with. Because this is a show that will be aired on TV, entertainment value is of course a priority, but if I can build on these foundations to show the thoughts and feelings of modern-day children in the story, that would be even better.

As expected, Cupid Parasite had total domination this month, despite the issues with the bug delaying plans to play, though Cardia, Olympia, and Tsukuyomi represented well. I think this is also one of the first months where the favorite LI wasn't also the favorite VA, though it was very close, with KENN's Shelby slightly edging out Furukawa Makoto's Allan. I'll keep the Secret Character's identity under wraps for another month or two, as I know a lot of us have held off on playing Cupid Parasite until the patch is released. But I hope you liked my choice of stand-in. *teehee*

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
