While I don't doubt Robby being as good as hawk currently, or surpassing him, he can solo the rest of the cobra Kai's in my opinion. I think for cobra kai to get back on top they'll have to use dirty tricks and tactics for the upcoming tournament.
One of them is taking out miyagi fangs best fighter (maybe second best). Regardless of if the two dojos fully merge, Eli will be the only student to extensively train under all 3 sensei's. He's gonna be a major threat.
I could see Kyler and his new group of cobra kai cronies targeting Eli about his lip and bed wetting. Eli and Demetris fight left secrets exposed and both of them very vulnerable.
They could quite easily make him go back into his former shell by targeting his weak spots. Also in any case of violence, they could use the same tactic as hawk when he broke demetris project to get the miyagi Dos in trouble, although councillor Blatt has a soft spot for Eli.
Not to mention if they recruit the people Robby faced in juvie (namely Shawn) and others, they will outnumber miyagi fang and have brute force with no restraint. As one of the challenges for Hawk will be forgetting the no mercy Creed. I could also see him being targetted in this way as a method for him and Daniel to bond, and for Daniel to help him find balance.
Daniel knows all too well what cobra kai can turn a good kid into after kk3. I have a theory that if the dojos don't fully merge Hawk will be on Daniels team with Demetri (without an unhealthy relationship between the two dojos) However that's a 50/50. Would be more likely for him to go to Johnny, however he clearly needs that sensei father figure and Johnny never opened up to him.
We are searching for a middle name for my son Kai. His birth middle name is Audrey but he needs a male name now instead. Audrey means Noble Strength so something along those lines maybe, or a male name that sounds like Audrey (but NOT Aubrey)
Our last name is long long long and somewhat complicated. It is French, starts with St __ __ __ __ _'eev' (so 6 syllables, ending in the sound eev)
Currently toying with Kai Bo because it has special meaning to my kid but looking for more options.
My son is 12 and wants a normal name, nothing trendy or overly trans (in his own words)
Kai is set in stone and will not be changed. Only looking for middle name options.

Chinese American here! Pretty much none of my family speaks Chinese though, and aren't connected to family there. I really like the name Kai, but I only know Japanese and Hawaiian people named that. Short of a google search, I don't have a way to confirm it's actually a normal Chinese given name.
Can someone who is Chinese/from China help me here? Do you know people who actually have that as their entire given name?

So for those of you who have seen season 3, throughout the season there are constant flashbacks to a younger John Kreese, Johnnyβs Sensei and creator of Cobra Kai.
At one point, Kreese is in Vietnam and is captured by enemy soldiers along with his team. The Vietnamese soldiers then make them fight eachother for their own amusement. Two have to fight in a stage until one falls into the pit beneathe them and dies.
Ok, so the word/name Kai in Hawaiian means βoceanβ or βseaβ, and it can mean the same thing in japanese.
What does John Kreese see in the pit? A sea of snakes. Cobra. Kai.
