A list of puns related to "Julia Richman High School"
there is a high school football player who got a bad grade and has to attend the play rehearsal and messes them up for everyone else
In high school once our history teacher asked who bombed pearl harbor, a Japanese kid raised his hand and the teacher said; correct!
I (f50s) have 2 sons, Dan (m22) and Sam (m27). Dan started dating 'Fran' in their junior year. Towards the end of senior year, Dan came to me and said he wanted to marry Fran. At the time, Dan had multiple college options which he was going to decline to stay in our town and marry Fran. I obviously didn't support this, I wanted my son to go to college and knew he wanted that too as he'd always been ambitious. I told my son that he had his whole life ahead of him and he could get married later, but didn't need to rush it. I told him that if he went to college and waited, even just a year or two, I'd pay for his tuition. At the time I didn't know how serious their relationship was as they'd been together for a little over a year, and was scared it wouldn't work out and he'd waste this opportunity. My son happily accepted this offer and agreed with me that it would be best to wait.
This year my son graduated college but maintained a long distance relationship with Fran, and they announced their engagement a couple months ago. We were all ecstatic about it. Sometime between then and now, my son told Fran that I was the reason he waited until now to propose. I wasn't aware until Christmas when during dinner, Fran said she wanted to say something. She began saying I paid my son to not married her and actively tried to ruin their relationship. She then said she was blessed that 'evil hadn't won' and couldn't wait to have a long and happy marriage. Everyone was silent and didn't really know what to say. My son approached me later to apologise and said she had twisted his words but it's been constantly weighing on my mind as friends and family present all have different opinions.
Edit
If my son had married Fran out of high school, he wouldn't of gone to college. My son chose to go to a school so far away, there were closer options but he liked the school he chose. I will be showing Dan this thread and update if he responds. Fran currently works at her mothers bakery. She wants to be a SAHM once they get married and was waiting for Dan to come back home.
Update
Dan and Fran have talked and cleared the air around this situation. Fran feels awful about what she said and realised she should've come and talked to me privately. This situation however has brought up other issues between the two and their future, as Dan expressed the Fran he would like to go to law school. Fran wants them to start their life together and thinks it's unfair for Dan to make

Despite this, the present conditions within schools necessitates a temporary return to remote learning; if not because of public health, then because of learning loss.
A story of my day:
- I arrived at school and promptly went to Study Hall. I knew that some of my teachers would be absent because they had announced it on Google Classroom earlier in the day. At our school there is a board in front of the auditorium with the list of teachers and seating sections for students within study hall: today there were 14 absent teachers 1st period. There are 11 seatable sections within the auditorium ... THREE CLASSES sat on the stage. Study hall has become a super spreader event -- I'll get to this in a moment.
- Second period I had another absent teacher. More of the same from 1st period. It was around this time that 25% of kids I know, including myself, realized that there were no rules being enforced outside of attendance at the start of the period, and that cutting lass was ridiculously easy. We left -- there was functionally no learning occurring within study hall, and health conditions were safer outside of the auditorium. It was well beyond max capacity.
- Third period I had a normal class period. Hooray! First thing the teacher did was pass out COVID tests because we had all been close contacts to a COVID-positive student in our class. 4 more teachers would pass out COVID tests throughout the day, which were to be taken at home. The school started running low on tests, and rules had to be refined to ration.
- "To be taken at home." Ya ... students don't listen. 90% of the bathrooms were full of students swabbing their noses and taking their tests. I had one kid ask me -- with his mask down, by the way -- whether a "faint line was positive," proceeding to show me his positive COVID test. I told him to go the nurse. One student tested positive IN THE AUDITORIUM, and a few students started screaming and ran away from him. There was now a lack of available seats given there was a COVID-positive student within the middle of the auditorium. They're now planning on having teachers give up their free periods to act as substitute teachers because the auditorium is simply not safe enough.
- Classes that I did attend were quiet and empty. Students are staying home because of risk of COVID without testing positive (as th

"I'm not working there anymore." He said.
"Oh, I'm sorry."
"Don't be. I'm getting paid better, and the hours are a lot shorter and I'm less stressed."
"Huh? You're getting paid more here than you were to be a teacher?"
"Yep."
I stared at him in bewilderment, then he said, "Well it was nice seeing you. Stay safe."
I nodded and finished buying my stuff. What the legit fuck? Pay teachers more goddammit.
EDIT: I did some research looking at their job offers. $15.25 starting salary for the convenience store. $11.21 starting salary for my school, with potential to increase to $30,108/year after tenure.
This seems legit. A teacher in my state makes only $34,206 on average and I live in a small town so it's probably lower here.
Even though Lavine was only a junior while Kupp was a senior, I still found this to be pretty interesting. Zach had only 4 points at the half and finished with 20, scoring mostly in garbage time. Kupp had 19 points on 9/11 shooting and guarded Lavine.
Also, Kuppβs hometown is Yakima, Washington. Some of you may recall this as the place where iCarlyβs grandparents threatened to move her to due to Spencerβs immaturity.
Edit: Just to add more context to this, at this point in time Kupp had only received 2 scholarship offers from Eastern Washington and Idaho State. He didnβt receive a single football scholarship offer until 2 weeks after his final high school game.

Since I was hired back in June, the owner of the small business I work for has only been able to attract high school students work for him due to him failing to realize that his starting rate is completely unlivable in this part of the state. As a result all of his remaining employees, aside from myself and a handful of others, either donβt pay rent or have other forms of supplemental income. This isnβt to speak ill of those people, I have nothing against any of them and in fact I enjoy working with most of them.
This came to a head though this last week when all of the high school students requested off spring break in March, two months in advance (we normally have a 2 week policy). My boss denied their request saying he βcanβt lose half his staff for a week.β Well you should have thought of that before you hired a bunch of students, most of whom are going on FAMILY VACATIONS or TOURING COLLEGES.
Iβm telling all of them to tell him βI will be gone for the dates that I have informed you of. If you schedule me on those dates I will not show up. I hope to have a position when I return, otherwise I will take my employment elsewhere.β
I canβt wait to watch him squirm under the thumb of the 16 year olds that he hired. Especially considering that they all know that the only employee he was willing to fire in the the last year was drinking during their shifts.
