Two down on their luck jazz musicians find themselves on the run after the police raid the speakeasy they perform in. I'm surprised it hasn't decade.

Hi! About this time last year, I posted a thread on this lovely subreddit that recommended a ton of media items for newcomers to our community and/or those who are struggling to find their own individual voice. And, seeing that this subreddit has since considerably grown and my own knowledge as a newbie is now slightly more advanced, it seems like a good time to post an updated list.

Feel free to contribute and add your own favourites, especially as I'm British and this list is arguably a tad biased towards the UK! ;) As always, please take care, particularly if you're struggling to deal with your mental health and/or sexuality, and also please continue to stay safe and well, especially if you live in an area with high Covid rates and/or a slow vaccination rollout. :) *hugs*

It really does, I swear!

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
