I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
There have been multiple claims against socialists that the Nazi party were socialists, due to their full nameβthe National Socialist German Workers' Party.
This argument has been used to attack socialism through association with Nazi policies. It has also led to confusion, as Nazism is normally associated with fascism and far-right-wing views.
So then what actually is Nazism ?
Well it's actually a form of fascism with disdain for liberal democracy and the parliamentary system. It incorporates fervent antisemitism, anti-communism, scientific racism, and the use of eugenics into its creed. Its extreme nationalism originated in pan-Germanism and the ethno-nationalist VΓΆlkisch movement which had been a prominent aspect of German nationalism since the late 19th century, and it was strongly influenced by the Freikorps paramilitary groups that emerged after Germany's defeat in World War I, from which came the party's underlying "cult of violence" . Nazism subscribed to pseudo-scientific theories of a racial hierarchy and social Darwinism, identifying the Germans as a part of what the Nazis regarded as an Aryan or Nordic master race. It aimed to overcome social divisions and create a homogeneous German society based on racial purity which represented a people's community (Volksgemeinschaft). The Nazis aimed to unite all Germans living in historically German territory, as well as gain additional lands for German expansion under the doctrine of Lebensraum and exclude those who they deemed either Community Aliens or "inferior" races.
The term "National Socialism" arose out of attempts to create a nationalist redefinition of socialism, as an alternative to both Marxist international socialism and free-market capitalism. Nazism rejected the Marxist concepts of class conflict and universal equality, opposed cosmopolitan internationalism, and sought to convince all parts of the new German society to subordinate their personal interests to the "common good", accepting political interests as the main priority of economic organisation which tended to match the general outlook of collectivism or communitarianism rather than economic socialism. The Nazi Party's precursor, the pan-German nationalist and antisemitic German Workers' Party (DAP), was founded on 5 January 1919. By the early 1920s, the party was renamed the National Socialist German Workers' Party to attract workers away from left-wing parties such as the Social Democrats (SPD) and the Communists (KPD), a
... keep reading on reddit β‘One thing that I find that some of the more dishonest Socialists and Capitalists will do is to equate a freed market with Capitalism. What I want to try and do is challenge the debaters on this sub to see how these two concepts can actually be at odds with each other.
If you are just looking to debate I will put a tl;dr for the point of each section.
To disentangle what I mean by the title, "Capitalism" as a word does not have a single definition (similarly to how people may use "Socialism"). To clarify, Gary Chartier has done a good service to clarify this issue, so I will use his definitions moving forward (please use the distinctions in the replies):

In this scenario, I am thinking to put some money in bitcoin, some in well-known Chinese companies like BABA or NIO, but I am unsure what other assets I would invest in. I would like to hear your guys' opinions and thoughts.
One stock in particular I'd invest in is Tenet Fintech Group, a Canadian Company based in China.
Here is a in-depth synopsis about Tenet (previously Peak Fintech Group) by StockFam:

Notable Management: Johnson Joseph (C.E.O), Sheldon Inwentash (Board Member, Strategic Advisor)
My oh myβ¦..where to begin? (Iβll just drop this and explain near the end: PKK expects to be listed on the NASDAQ by late March, early April.Β Put a pin in that and weβll discuss later)
If you have recently joined the Stock Fam community (congratulations!), you may have come across the expression βHoly Grailβ used for ThreeD Capital (IDK, IDKFF), and with good reason, as it is the current investment vehicle of legendary Canadian investor, Sheldon Inwentash (See the dedicated IDK board for more info).Β However, if ThreeD is the βHoly Grailβ, Peak Fintech (soon to be Tenet Fintech Group) deserves a moniker of its own.Β Iβd call it the βCrown Jewelβ of the Stock Fam community.Β So, letβs get into why.Β Get comfortable.
Peak is a Canadian company with the incredibly rare distinction of being a growing player in the Chinese financial marketplace.Β Through its Asia Synergy subsidiaries, Peak facilitates lending between financial institutions and commercial borrowers.Β It does this through an online ecosystem that essentially does all the legwork for the banks by both assessing credit risk and also finding matches for lenders and borrowers within that ecosystem.Β Mr. Joseph himself once compared it, in very loose terms for new investors, to essentially a dating site for lending.Β Peak does the legwork, sets up the match, and takes a fee (currently in the 2% range of the total size of credit).
Now, after reading this, youβll have questions, so letβs anticipate that and answer them now.Β After that, we will talk revenue numbers, and youβll fall out of your chair and need assistance getting up (we assume no liability for chair accidents) (edited)
First, the big question most new investors to Peak have is βWell, is it safe to operate in China?Β You know, the whole Jack Ma thingβ¦β
*To answer this, we need to first understand the lending climate in China.Β A few years back, it was far t
