A list of puns related to "John Yorke"
Hi everyone, Iβm going crazy with my script. I recently came across John yorkes act and the whole thing felt right, but I still struggle to understand it precisely, visualize it and furthermore apply it to my own story. I keep looking online for examples of it with explanations, vainly. Honest to god Iβd be super grateful if anyone could direct me to example with explanations!
Was just thinking how awesome a collaboration between these two would be. They're actually quite similar in a lot of ways; both incredibly talented, both been through crippling depression, both have moved towards an interest in electronic music, both have a solo career. Imagine if John was on guitar, and Yorke on vocals. Or even a purely electronic album. I'd be in heaven.
In the "sessions discs", Disc 18, @26:00, we hear Thom Yorke beat boxing to John Carpenter's "Halloween" soundtrack/movie.
Flashback to 2011, during my first listen of The King of Limbs, I noticed the backing percussion to "Little By Little" sounded a bit like the backing percussion to the main theme from "Halloween" (the high pitched, almost clicking sounds)
I just went back and listened again, and it does sound kinda similar.
Little By Little (hear it especially starting at :10) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZupT9Gx3ME

Am I the only one to hear this? Thoughts?
As John Yorke will be leading the BBC Writers' Academy (mentioned elsewhere) I thought it might be useful to know a little more about him.
He's a career producer: "...former Head of Channel Four Drama, Controller of BBC Drama Production, MD of Company Pictures..." and "...has overseen some of the UKβs most enduring and popular programmes, from Shameless and Life On Mars to EastEnders and Holby City, alongside award-winners like Bodies and the internationally acclaimed Wolf Hall."
He has also expounded his own theories on "fractal, five act" story structure in his book Into The Woods. Briefly, he delves into the nuances of five act structure - definitions and purposes - and posits that one can apply it from the superstructure of a narrative all the way down to scenes themselves.
His book Into The Woods is a thoughtful read but you can get a great deal of the content from listening to his Google talk and/or his London Screenwriters Festival talk.
How closely did you follow the Act I and Act V mirror structure? And did you change your story / plotting around to fit it better?
In his book Into the Woods, John Yorke says: "Each character will play out their own first act before the film moves on to the collective act two - and so on to the end of the work." Does this mean that each protagonist has their own act one but a shared act two, three, four, and five? Or do the protagonist's each have their own act one, three and five - but share an act two and four? Or do they have their own act one and five - but share an act two, three, and four?

So I'm going through John Gourley's art and I couldn't help but notice this piece... Is this Thom Yorke? Because it looks a lot like Thom.
Also if you're not sure who John Gourley is you should check out his band Portugal. The Man. I absolutely love them.

Since both Thom Yorke and John Frusciante did so many kinds of music I want to specify what I'm looking for. I'm looking for songs like Black Swan by Thom Yorke ,Harrowdown Hill by Thom Yorke , Shining Desert by John Frusciante and Cinch by John Frusciante.
> Multiple league sources believe the Knicks will look to trade Walker, whose value on the trade market, much like his production, is at an all-time low.
> However, league sources believe Walker's value has the potential to change as the Knicks get closer to the Feb. 10 trade deadline and teams get more desperate to add a veteran who, despite his defensive shortcomings, has shown he can still make shots, albeit in a more limited capacity.
> A source close to the Knicks indicated New York may also have a potential trade partner in the Houston Rockets, who are eager to move John Wall.
