Hi everyone,
I saw that your community recently had a really positive response to a Q&A with John Tromp about Cuckoo Cycle PoW.
I am the host of a podcast called The Monero Monitor, and had John on as a guest on my most recent episode. I thought Iβd share that discussion here with you in case anyone was interested in learning more about Cuckoo Cycle.
Episode here: https://moneromonitor.com/episodes/2017-09-26-Episode-014.html
Thanks, Mike

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Jorglax delicately picked a grain of dust off his freshly pressed blue ceremonial robes and slithered back a pace to admire himself in his quartersβ full length mirror. His robes were clean, his scales were polished, and his pincers adorned in as many jewels as they could reasonably fit. He looked good, real good. Good enough to justify the lives lost mining the precious stones.
A waste, he thought to himself. A pity to waste the time getting all dressed up for these simple apes. Ah well, I have to meet with the Emperor after my meeting, anyway. Might as well get dressed for it now.
Jorglax stared at himself proudly in the mirror. He was happy. Happier than he had ever been, maybe. Just a little while ago he was appointed advisor to the Galactic Emperor, advising him on a range of matters. He was in contact with the Emperor often, on a first name basis even! A fact he boasted of regularly.
Jorglax turned away from the mirror and exited his quarters. He turned down the hall and slithered to the luxury advisorβs ship that would take him to the apesβ space station. He entered the vessel and gave orders to the pilot to begin the trip. It would be a short flight. And a short meeting, Jorglax suspected.
This ape species that Jorglax would be meeting with had been making minor waves through the galaxy, as of late. Although, it appears that they had no idea. A mining facility of this new species was recently discovered on a moon the mining apes called Jupiter. As was policy, the Prionates, Jorglaxβs species, observed the mining operation from afar, gathering as much information on the apes as possible. Shortly after, it was deemed appropriate to make contact with these new galactic up-and-comers, as primitive as they were.
The next step was to meet with the apesβ leaders and let them know where their place was in the galaxy. Jorglax smiled at the thought, bearing his four rows of sharpened teeth. He always loved breaking the news to a new species, letting them know exactly where they stand in the empire. He smiled more broadly and glanced at his pincers, wondering what precious gems their βEarthβ had to offer. And to make the situation even better, this sector of the galaxy and the sectors surrounding it were blessedly free from the chains of the Trevixes.
The Trevixes were the Prionates rival species in the galaxy. As the Prionate empire rose up, so did the Trevix empire. The wars fought between the two empires had gone on for thousands and thousands of

Do your worst!
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
It really does, I swear!

but then I remembered it was ground this morning.
Edit: Thank you guys for the awards, they're much nicer than the cardboard sleeve I've been using and reassures me that my jokes aren't stale
Edit 2: I have already been made aware that Men In Black 3 has told a version of this joke before. If the joke is not new to you, please enjoy any of the single origin puns in the comments
BamBOO!

A play on words.
Pilot on me!!
Christopher Walken
Nothing, he was gladiator.
Or would that be too forward thinking?
Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
What did 0 say to 8 ?
" Nice Belt "
So What did 3 say to 8 ?
" Hey, you two stop making out "
When I got home, they were still there.
I won't be doing that today!
