A list of puns related to "John Salley"
Can you imagine the refs allowing "Jordan Rules" go for the superstars of today such as Steph, Lebron or KD? When did the refs start smarten up and not let superstars get mugged during playoff?
John Salley and Chuck Daly had already been mentioned during the Documentary that they shook hands with the Bulls after 1991. But a few days ago, Joe Dumars spoke with Chris Broussard and Rob Parker on their Fox Sports Podcast by Fox Sports regarding the final moments in Game 4 of the 1991 Eastern Conference Finals (it starts around 5:00):
> It never even dawned on me to not shake their hands,β the former Pistons guard explained. βPrevious years we had beaten them, and we had ended their season. I can just tell you that every single time that we eliminated them, Mike found me, shook my hand, just whispered, βTough battle. Great battle. Good luck in the Finals.β So when we were walking off, I saw him. I stopped and said the exact same thing to him... Itβs a really big deal now and since then, but at that moment it wasnβt really a big deal in terms of just walking and stopping and shaking their hand,β he added. βI have nothing but respect.
Per wiki:
>Robert Horry and John Salley are the only players to have won championships with three teams.
>Horry won seven championships: two with the Houston Rockets, three with the Los Angeles Lakers and another two with San Antonio Spurs.
>Salley's four NBA titles came via two championships with the Detroit Pistons and one each with the Bulls and the Lakers
>Kawhi with Spurs & Raptors. Lebron with Heat & Cavs.
Danny also has a shot at joining the club by winning 3 rings with 3 teams. 2014 Spurs, 2019 Raptors, and (potentially) the 2020 Lakers.
Green is often left out of the Kawhi v LeBron convo because in those 2 are also contending for the never been done ***"3 rings on 3 different teams as the 'best player' or 3xFMVP."***. But IMO he'll still be accomplishing something very special in his own right if the Lakers win it this year. It will add additional validation to his championships in San Antonio and Toronto where some might see him as a fringe all star. If he wins his 3rd, I suspect some will start rethinking his role as a more of a Pippen to Kawhi's Jordan rather than a Ron Harper. Even if Danny does it as the 3rd wheel of the Lakers because it will fuel the "Kawhi never won a chip without Danny" narrative until Kawhi wins one without Danny. OFC this narrative can also be reversed if the Clippers win. Then some will start saying that Kawhi is the Jordan and Danny is more of a role guy who just happened to be around. End of the day, I feel Danny has a lot of gain & lose from the outcome of this season.
But if either of the LA teams win this season then Horry and Salley will get some company in their lonely club with a lot more rings than members. >!Or if the Bucks somehow land a trade for Patrick McGOAT to carry them to the championship.!<
I was doing some research on an unrelated Pistons topic this evening and stumbled upon this:
>Trade rumors circulating around the league have the Pistons considering packaging John Salley, free-agent guard Vinnie Johnson and a No. 1 draft choice for Philadelphia`s Charles Barkley.
Granted, the Pistons' lone bit of guard depth beyond Isiah and Joe started and ended with Vinnie Johnson so that may have been a problem. But otherwise, we're looking at:
PG: Isiah Thomas
SG: Joe Dumars
SF: Adrian Dantley
PF: Charles Barkley
C: Bill Laimbeer
Bench: Dennis Rodman, Rick Mahorn, James Edwards, and virtually nothing at guard until Michael Williams in '89 and an older John Long
Just like the Carmelo Anthony hypothetical with that 2004 team, it's tough to just look at a roster and come to a conclusion without accounting for all the intangibles. That said, what are your thoughts on injecting Charles Barkley into that Bad Boys era?
A very rare accomplishment indeed. Patrick McCaw is also competing with them for this honor.
A lot of ex NBA players are beginning to invest in Esports but this is a cool story of one investing in our planets future!
salley won 2 with the pistons in 89 and 90, one with the bulls in 96 after which he did not play a nba game until he joined the lakers for the 2000 season.
duncan won his first in 99, won 3 in 5 attempts from 2003 to 2007 before winning his last in 2014, all with the san antonio spurs.
duncan's is way more impressive because he was a top 2 player for the spurs on each of his title runs. where salley was just a role player bouncing around the nba.
I really wanna get John salley for gauntlet but I need some emerald rings. Is there any way to get some other that simulating season.(which I have been doing)

> "I won four championship rings, with three different teams, in three different decades and two different millenniums"
Legend.
