Thanks to the NFL's weirdass scheduling format back in the day, Marino and Elway only played each other three times in their entire careers. There weren't even any injuries or anything, the Broncos and Dolphins just straight up didn't play each other almost every single year. Here wee the matchups they did have:

Their exchange of words during the auction never felt that there was much chemistry... more that he was trying to get away from that person flirting with him. If I had a man talking with me like that, I would just go back to my place and would never think that he was into me.
Also, just came across the fact that when they talk over the phone, you hear Lorelai say he came back from MAUI, but her lips read BALI. Why the change, I have no idea.
EDIT: apparently this episode aired 10 days after a car bomb attack in Bali with hundreds of dead and injured :( hence the change.
