Maine’s Thomas Brackett Reed was selected to serve as Secretary of State, bringing a conservative and anti-imperialist touch to things that would persist until his death in 1902, whereupon he was replaced with former New York Governor Grover Cleveland, a Liberal recently mired in a scandal involving his sister’s relationship with another woman. William F. Vilas was made Secretary of the Treasury, evidencing the administration’s shift from protectionist Federal Republican orthodoxy.

Anti-prohibitionist Kentucky Federal Republican William O’Connell Bradley was selected to serve as Secretary of War due to the intervention of Mark Twain, who vehemently protested Dewey’s initial intention to appoint Theodore Roosevelt to the post. Nonetheless, Roosevelt was placed at the Naval Department in a gesture of reconciliation to party Houstonians. Louis Brandeis was selected as Attorney General once more, while 35 year old Farmer-Labor Representative William Borah of Idaho was made Secretary of the Interior, a controversial choice publicly opposed by Federal Republican leaders such as William McKinley. Ohio anti-prohibition Federal Republican Myron T. Herrick and Alabama Liberal Oscar Underwood were granted the Postal and Agriculture positions, respectively.

It’s interesting that I still buy a lot of my clothes from Old Navy and JC Penney. I always feel a sense of nostalgia whenever I go into those stores. I mostly just buy online since it’s more convenient and they usually don’t have my size in the store a lot of the time but it is nice to go to the mall once in awhile. Anyway those stores just work for me! As they say if it ain’t broke then don’t fix it! I also like that they make clothes for tall women (I am 5’11). I still shop at Target but mostly for stuff besides clothes. I miss their old brands and don’t care for the new ones as much!

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Overview

Would you look at that – a quiet one. After 15 straight weeks of unbroken excitement, expansion after expansion, war after war, you wouldn’t be blamed for thinking that was just the new normal. But things have settled down in the galaxy, at least on the Hudson end, and that’s good. Sometimes, the slow ones are a blessing.

That’s not to say nothing happened – we worked to keep our systems fortified and defeat a fifth-column prep; we fought alongside PalCon to bring the heat to EGU; and we helped keep the skies clear in Nanomam, where organic PvP finally came alive after a long sabbatical. Winters finally took control of LPM 229, ending an endless cycle of contesting ALD expansions in 36 Doradus.

Things are back to normal, then – at least for the time being – but what a new normal it is. 20 new systems between Hudson in Winters; our economy in better shape than ever. All that was thanks to you. Here’s to the next 20.
