A list of puns related to "John Bradfield"
This has probably been asked before, but to you what are the saddest and/or strangest Charley Project cases or details in Charley Project cases (links are appreciated).
Brittany Nicole Wood is a very sad case to me (TRIGGER WARNING//very heavy mentions of sexual abuse and incest). This case has fascinated me for a while, itβs just so sad to me, and the fact that her uncleswho most likely was the perpetrator in this case is dead frustrates me so much, this is a case that I feel COULD be solved, but itβs just frustrating. This case saddens me because you can really see the sadness in her eyes, she looks very worried in the photos.
Also cases with no details make me so sad, it makes you wonder what their story was, and what their family and friends were like.
I was scrolling through the cases alphabetically and this case stood out to me as one of the first cases to say βFew details are available in this caseβ. Itβs not a case with lots of details that necessarily make it strange or sad, but just the lack of details and a clear story of events is the sad part.
βTo Haley,
who heard the story firstβ
-The Lightning Thief
It all started with Haley, Rick's first born. Thank you Haley :)
"To Patrick John Riordan,
the best storyteller in the familyβ
-The Sea of Monsters
Patrick is Rick's second son. (patrick-reads-percy)
"To Topher Bradfield and Toni Davis
Two campers who have made a world of differenceβ
-The Titan's Curse
They are/were Rick's booksellers. (Link)
"To Becky,
who always guides me through the maze"
-The Battle of the Labyrinth
βTo Mrs Pabst,
my eighth-grade English teacher,
who started me on the road to Camp Half-Blood β
-The Last Olympian
I think I had watched some videos of Rick talking about his english teacher who helped to publish one of his first stories to a magazine, it was rejected but the people from magazine were really cool about it and encouraged him to write better. (The video)
It would have been hilarious if he had name the fury Mrs Pabst instead of Mrs Dodds.
βFor Haley and Patrick, always the first to hear stories
Without them, Camp Half-Blood would not exist.β
-The Lost Hero
βTo Becky, who shares my sanctuary in New Rome.
Even Hera could never make me forget you.β
-The Son of Neptune
Just like Percy would never forget Annabeth, Rick would never forget Becky.
βTo Speedy,
Strays and wanderers are often sent by the gods.β
-The Mark of Athena
Speedy is Rick's dog, cute :D
Also it turns out speedy was a stray dog and Rick adopted him.
(Speedy Drops In (and Mauls the Pigeon))
βTo my wonderful readers:
Sorry about that last cliff-hanger.
Well, no, not really. HAHAHAHA.
But, seriously, I love you guys.β
-The House of Hades
That was just evil Rick, even Kronos is afraid of you.
βTo my wonderful readers.
Sorry about that apology for that last cliffhanger.
Iβll try to avoid cliffhangers in this book.
Well, except for maybe a few small onesβ¦because I love you guys.β
-The Blood of Olympus
βTo all my librarian friends, champions of books, true magicians in the House of Life.
Without you, this writer would be lost in the Duat.β
-The Red Pyramid
*In a video, Rick is asked if he will ever write more Kane
Please note, these 'date ranges', members, and descriptions are just my opinion. They aren't designed to include or exclude specific groups, they're supposed to provide a 'best fit' around specific events and eras. To give how each one functions, every generation is a 9-year space, and there are two types of generation: "core" and "cusp" - a core and a cusp are added together to create a complete 18-year generation cycle.
--
September 1911 - August 1920. Core Greatest Generation - average age group for those fighting in WWII, so this would fit the description well.
Example members: Frank Sinatra, Rita Hayworth. Richard Nixon, James Callaghan, Jayne Meadows, John F Kennedy, Marie Windsor, William S Burrows, Captain Thomas Moore, Gerald Ford, Dorothy McGuire.
--
September 1920 - August 1929. Greatest-Silent Cusp Generation - many of those who fought in WWII born during this period, likewise the last who could possibly have been in full-time work during WWII born in this time, all significant contributors to building back after WWII.
Example members: Bob Dole, Margaret Thatcher, Jimmy Carter, Chuck Berry, Queen Elizabeth II, Martin Luther King Jr, Audrey Hepburn, George H W Bush, Adam West, Yootha Joyce, Marilyn Monroe.
--
September 1929 - August 1938. Core Silent Generation - all too young to fight in WWII (with extremely rare exceptions), sadly made up many fatalities and serious cases of the Coronavirus Pandemic. Many contributed to rebuilding post-WWII.
Example members: Morgan Freeman, Julie Andrews, Brian Murphy, Judi Dench, Elvis Presley, Richard Briers, Woody Allen, Klaus Schwab, John McCain, Barbara Windsor, Mikhael Gorbachev.
--
September 1938 - August 1947. Silent-Boomer Cusp Generation - broadly people born before the main Baby Boom but sharing an affinity with people born during it, younger members wouldn't remember WWII while older members would - but both would share a strong memory of wartime legacies like rationing which ended in 1953, many were young adults during the late-1960s Summer of Love. Most prominent musicians/entertainers of the 1960s.
Example members: Donald Trump, George W. Bush, Joe Biden, Bill Clinton, John Major, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Neil Young, The Beatles (all), Danny Devito, Barbara Streisand, Felicity Kendall, Dolly Parton, Cher, Freddie Mercury, Ritchie Blackmore, Nancy Pelosi, Bernie Sanders, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Mum always loved to wear sarongs (fabric wraps that go around the torso and drape downward a bit like a long skirt would), so my uncle suggested that she wear a sarong in there.
The funeral director looked a bit confused, as did some of our family members, to which my uncle added:
"What's sarong with that?"
I started laughing like an idiot. He was proud of it too. The funeral director was rather shocked. We assured her, and our more proper relatives, that Mum would've absolutely loved the joke (which is very true).
His delivery was perfect. I'll never forget the risk he took. We sometimes recall the moment as a way help cushion the blows of the grieving process.
--Edit-- I appreciate the condolences. I'm doing well and the worst is behind me and my family. But thanks :)
--Edit-- Massive thanks for all the awards and kind words. And the puns! Love 'em.
I would have a daughter

Founded: 2009, First AFL season in 2011 (AFLW side since 2020)
Song: We are the Suns of the Gold Coast sky
Mascot: Skye
Ground: Metricon Stadium (Capacity: 25,000) 4 Matches / Great Barrier Reef Arena (Harrup Park), Mackay (Capacity: 8,000) 1 Match.
Looking back at 2020
Ladder Position: 4th in Conference A (2W-3L-1D)
Club Champion: Jamie Stanton
Leading Goalkicker: Kalinda Howarth - 9 goals
The Suns signed 20 players through expansion signings, 8 through the draft and 2 through free agency. They were predicted to finish bottom 2 of Conference A. Their first match against GWS played in torrential rain was the lowest combined score in AFLW/AFL/VFL history with GWS 1.3 (9) defeating the Suns 1.2 (8) by a point. Next round, the Suns claimed their first AFLW victory, defeating Richmond by 11 points, holding the Tigers goalless after quarter time. The round after, with the momentum rolling, the Suns headed into the inaugural QClash. The QClash trophy is going to have to wait another year to be taken home as the game ended in a draw. By this point of the season, the Suns girls are defying everyone's expectations and the question was whether they could keep the ball rolling. Round 4, the Suns took on North Melbourne and were served a bit of a reality check in a 13 point loss. There was no bouncing back the week after with another 20 point loss to the Cats. The girls were able to end the season with a 25 point win over fellow expanion team West Coast.
The Suns finished 4th in Conference A with 2 wins, 3 losses, a draw and 84.0%. Due to the season being cut short, the threshold for the finals was extended from top 3 to top 4. This meant the Suns had qualified for the entire clubs first ever final in it's 10 years of existence. Unfortunately, they had drawn Fremantle in their first final, who were looking likely to challenge for the Premiership after finishing at the top of the opposing conference. To no one's surprise, the Suns were annihilated by 70 points with Fremantle kicking 12.8 (80) to the Suns 1.4 (10).
Kalinda Howarth made the AA interchange, marking the first AA for the club (men and women) since 2016. For the Club awards: Jamie Stanton w

True story; it even happened last night. My 5-year-old son walks up behind me and out of the blue says, "hey."
I turn to him and say, "yeah, kiddo? What's up?"
He responds, "it's dead grass."
I'm really confused and trying to figure out what's wrong and what he wants from me. "What? There's dead grass? What's wrong with that?"
.
.
.
He says, totally straight-faced, "hay is dead grass," and runs off.
You officially hit rock bottom
No it doesn't.
And then you will all be sorry.
Now itβs syncing.
He replied, "Well, stop going to those places then!"
I will find you. You have my Word.
She said how do you know he was headed to work?
βthank you for your cervix.β
