A list of puns related to "Joel Cohen"
Having just watched The Tragedy of Macbeth and found it to be an arrestingly sparse yet striking and fantastical take on the classic, it's safe to say that Joel Coen is gonna be just fine on his own. Not that this was ever in doubt.
My mind naturally drifted to the other first-time solo directing effort from one half of a former duo: Lana Wachowski. Who similarly succeeded in making the film she wanted with The Matrix Resurrections.
In both cases their siblings seem very much done with making movies and are contentedly pursuing other creative endeavours. So if we were to join these two mismatched halves together to form a new duo that would share writing and directing duties, what project would suit them?
My first instinct is something like Bound. A tense, pulpy noir tale of a crime gone wrong. It's a mode Wachowski hasn't been in since that debut feature and it's something Coen has excelled at.
What I think would be interesting is a massive space western neo-noir that spans multiple planets. It would harness Wachowskis skill for sci-fi storytelling and managing huge budgets as well as Coen's sense of humour of morality. The melding of their visual styles would create some great contrast if each tackled different planets.
This will obviously never happen, nor do I think either of them needs to be in a duo but it's a fun hypothetical mash up.
Edit: did not notice that my phone went full Bill Murray on Garfield and corrected Coen to Cohen (thrice!)
If you live in the USA it is a flat $5 for shipping (regardless of how many you order).
At this time (due to the current situation) I am only shipping addresses within the USA. Apologies to anyone outside the USA.
All records include a 3 mil. clear outer sleeve (unless in some sort of special packaging). I ship using cardboard record mailers with cardboard inserts.
The money is going toward my wife's ongoing medical bills, so I'm not really interested trading or serious haggling. I try to keep the prices as reasonable as possible. Thanks in advance for your understanding.
PLEASE READ!
If you would like to place an order, reply to this post, then send me a message through the mail/message function (the envelope icon) and NOT chat (I DO NOT respond to chat requests). Mention where you live and your Paypal e-mail address. That will expedite the process. Please note that I do not reserve items until I receive a mail with that information.
If you are on a home pc click on the envelope icon on the top right (next to the chat icon). If you are on a mobile device tap the envelope icon on the lower right of the screen, then tap the three dots (β’β’β’) in the upper right of the screen. You should then see an option for a "new message".
Please read the grading for each record carefully, and PM me if you have any questions. I visually grade AND play grade every record. I try to grade conservatively.
(Graded by record first, then jacket / U.S. pressings unless noted otherwise)

... keep reading on reddit β‘How the hell are there a Joel and Etan Cohen that along with sharing very similar names to the famous brothers also happen to be writer and directors? These Cohens, with an H, do t appear to be related but both are purveyors of terrible comedy films. Years ago in an AMA Bill Murray admitted he signed on to Garfield specifically because he thought Joel Cohen was Joel Coen. How many other times has this happened? This week Etan Cohen, apparently Ethan Coen from another dimension where the letter H is shifted, released Holmes and Watson. I do not exaggerate when I say it is one of the worst theatrical releases that I've ever scene. Just a formless, nearly jokeless blob of a film.

My campaign is all about Main Street Not Wall Street-- I'm for fair and progressive taxation of the wealthy to create jobs and fully fund our communities' schools, hospitals, parks, libraries, infrastructure, and environmental protection. I'm for a statewide ban on fracking and an immediate national moratorium on it as well-- possible because solar, wind, geothermal, energy efficiency, and moving towards zero waste can create our green jobs and provide energy. I'm for amending our Constitution to make it clear that corporations aren't people. I'm for expanding Medicare to cover all Americans (this would save $400 billion a year). I'm for Clean Money Clean Elections campaign finance reform-- the Fair Elections Now Act. I'm for bringing all our troops home now from all over the globe (not just from Iraq). I support marriage equality and reproductive justice (and Planned Parenthood). I oppose computerized voting machines, the Stop Online Piracy Act and indefinite detention; Bradley Manning and other brave whistleblowers like him should be freed (Michael Ratner and Bill Quigley of the Center for Constitutional Rights have documented the abuses of our freedoms and liberties under both Obama and Bush).
[note-- I've also been endorsed by the Dutchess and Columbia County Democratic Elections Commissioners Fran Knapp and Virginia Martin; Cornel West, Josh Fox, Jeff Cohen, Troy Area Labor Council President Mike Keenan, PEF Shop Steward/DEC Engineer Wayne Bayer, and 220 others @ http://www.PetitionOnline.com/Joel -- join us!]

At the top of the podcast, Adam talks about grit and the best way to test for it. Adam then recalls his carpet cleaning days, and rants about leaving jobs unfinished. The guys also discuss how Adamβs kidsβ personalities were in full effect even as infants, and take a fan phone call about 9/11 conspiracies. Joe Kenda then calls in and chats with Adam about his work as a homicide detective. The guys talk about murder statistics, and Adam asks Joe what the steps are to solving a crime, and how to avoid being a victim of violence. Later, Adam asks Joe about his most gruesome cases, and takes a couple more calls about stripper stage professions, waiters who donβt write down orders, and a Rich Man Poor Man submission.
Joel H. Cohen is in studio next, and the guys talk about the legacy of The Simpsons. They also talk about Joelβs attempts at running a marathon, and the best ways to distract your mind from your body. Later, the guys listen back on some of the their favorite Troy McClure moments from The Simpsons. In the last part of the show, Gina reads stories about hoaxes surrounding Hurricane Harvey, Justin Bieberβs nude photos, and the least & most valuable majors for undergrad studies.
