I have tried confirming this on the web - but I don't get any definitive answers.
And by 'doctor' in this context I am referring to the character having a PhD in medicine or any other field

Plus, there are 2 instances where he played a professor as well - which implies he was also in possession of some type of doctorate.
See below:

Professor Richmond (Ghost Hunter)
Craig Morton also is the ONLY starting QB in NFL history to win both an AFCCG and an NFCCG. However he lost in both Super Bowls.
Oddly enough, Morton brought the Cowboys to the Super Bowl and also faced them in the Super Bowl.

The man effortlessly exudes power, confidence, and genuineness without having to over do it. Silas Stone was a badass, and it's all thanks to him.
One of my favorite scenes is the "I know the containment protocols. I wrote them." scene. Most other actors would come across as petty and offended in that scene, yet with Joe, he's simply confidently stating facts.
I also loved his voiceovers, especially "A Father Twice Over". Overall, he's one of my favorite parts of ZSJL. I'm glad we got to see the full performance!

Ofc, some evil comes of it, like with the barlowes and co. But the heart of it was to preserve the ideal Americans have of the democratic nation.
Not too unlike the original intentions of Adam and Dr Grant.
Just thought that was super interesting βΊ
