While I will be doing a Week 18 Waivers post, the vast majority of us play in leagues that end a week before the NFL regular season ends, making it useless. Most fantasy players have already checked out by now, and out of the small group of players who are still invested, most will head out after this weekend.
I just want to take this time to thank everybody for all of the feedback and engagement that I've gotten on my posts this season. A lot of the feedback has directly helped me make improvements to the posts, in terms of both the content and the formatting.
More than anything, I love the engagement I get with this community. Whether it's somebody calling me out on a soon-to-be-garbage take, or ridiculing me for suggesting that a certain player might be available in another league, or even being reminded of a player who I now have to scramble to add to the list... It's the reason I enjoy posting here so much, because this community is never shy to engage.
The Waiver Pickups posts will be back next season, as will my single-player deep dives (such as Elijah Mitchell in Week 1, Kyle Pitts in Week 4, Odell Beckham Jr. in Week 9, etc.), and I will continue to keep dropping random posts here and there throughout eternity. Hopefully some of these posts helped you guys, and hopefully my bad takes didn't hurt you too badly! Good luck to everybody in their Week 17 championship rounds, let's finish out 2021 strong!

I thought about posting here after my friend suggested the names Subpoena and Lilac for my sim babies...
Long story short, I've been playing this specific world since 2015, and it's been ~10 generations and I really don't like repeating names (except middle names) so I've ended up with some pretty outlandish names lol, many of them inspired by this sub...
This is a list of all the teenagers in my world right now, and I've ordered them from worst (sim is most likely to age up with the evil trait) to most acceptable:
If you're curious to put sim faces to these atrocious names, scroll to the characters section here: https://sims4storytelling.com/world/Crumplebottom_Academy_Year_1 !
I'd love to hear your opinions on my names/ranking!
The more I think of it, the more I realize that their whole gimmick all revolves around "I want sex but I won't put in any effort at all".
The black pill is just them saying "nah... everything sucks and I don't want to put in any effort into anything"
Their whole rant with the "dating market" is just an excuse to not use tinder "using tinder is meaningless. Women this and women that. Chad 7'0" " it's all an excuse to not put an effort or put themselves out there.
They want all the effort of getting vulnerable with people (sex, friendships, love, romance, support and affection)
While not doing any of the things you need to do to make that a reality (going out, meeting people, being vulnerable, accepting rejection, finding hobbies, emotional growth, investing time and energy into relationships, maintaining and growing bonds with people, working on themselves in therapy to be happier and more independent.
Instead, they blame bogeymen like Chad and act like Chad's just get sex like it's nothing at all. They try to vilify people and actually build a narrative that those men just get everything handed to them.
They do the same with women, insisting "all foids live life on easy mode"
They genuinely believe that "Chads" get everything them handed to them on a silver plaatter with zero effort on their end and they make up all the excuses in the world to stick to that story.
Like no, that's not how being a human being works.
You'll fall in love with your best friend and they'll say they are into you.
You and someone else will be into each other, but have to break up because of external factors. It happens to us all no matter what.
Let's not forget that some of the hottest men and women have been through break ups.
Ryan Reynolds has. Scar Jo has.
Both are hot. One is Chad, one is a hot foid.
But they all still experience heart break.
Even if you say "maybe they want the physical sensation but aren't emotionally prepared for a break up" it still doesn't add up.
If that's what they wanted, they could hire a sex worker. They wouldn't really need to worry about rejection and theyd get to have sex with someone who is objectively good at sex and attractive to the incel since they choose who to reach out to.
But nope, thats not "real" since it's paid.
What does that mean?
They want to have romantic, intimate, satisfying sex without actually spending money on anything or even taking the risk of putting themselves out there.
How the fuck do thing they'l

Notoriously a franchise that's struggled in real life, especially in the last 25 or so years, I decided to play the Pirates for a few reasons (I'll add a skip for this in case you don't care about any of the backstory and just want to see why I'm even making this post):
First off, my main goal with this save was to do a "For Fun Challenge Run" essentially, and build my team around defense. The true meaning here is that I imposed a restriction on what position players I would allow on my team. Originally, I had planned to only play a player with a 65/80 rating at their position, no questions asked. This became a bit of a problem when I realized that I'm playing the Pirates, have barely any money or good moveable pieces, and that the number of actual players at each position that fit this stipulation are few and far between. Plus, defense is more than just the number on their position, so I decided to be a bit more lenient and require a 60 minimum, but must be exceptional at something about their position outside of it otherwise. Example: [Victor Victor Mesa](https://gyazo.com/e6278f33d8e324624a06c6f916ff32d3)
Victor Victor fell from a 65/80 to a 60, but his arm is outstanding and his range is better than a 60, so he makes the team.
Second, I wanted to play in a pitcher-friendly ballpark. The second part of this team was building my pitching staff around the Movement stat, when applicable. PNC is a pretty good park for this type of challenge.
Third, I wanted to play a team on the lower end of budget. Sure, I could play a team like the Giants and still have a park favoring defense and a much higher budget, but affording guys like Chapman and Olson who can hit with amazing defense didn't seem as fun to me personally.
Thus, the Pirates were the perfect choice.
Quick Backstory for the previous 3 seasons: I'm not going to go into much detail at all here other than to provide my previous records and key trade acquisitions. For 2021, we went 66-96, but that was only good enough to earn the #5 pick in the 2022 draft. I traded for Taylor Trammell to be my 4th outfielder and Evan White to be my starting/potential platoon 1B with Oneil Cruz.
2022 saw an improvement to 74-88 and Billy Hamilton starting out in CF, putting up 3.9 WAR with 77 SBs, leading the team in WAR. Nothing else to really note here, other than a R5 selec

Legacy heroes in superhero comics are great. The journey of a young hero taking the mantle and weight of a great hero that came before can be a story for the ages if done right, as seen with the likes of Dick Grayson, Miles Morales, Wally West, Cassandra Cain, Kamala Khan, and countless others. But legacy heroes can also be the source of endless fandom drama, stirring up heated arguments and pitting fans against fans, fans against writers, writers against editors, and so on.
I've written previously about how DC turned Batgirls fans against each other, and then re-united them against the company. And have maybe willed a Batgirls book into existence. Today, we're tackling an even more contentious subject: the many, many Green Lanterns, and how DC's treatment (both good and bad) of one hero Hal Jordan ignited the wrath of multiple character fandoms.
#In Brightest Day...
To start, here's a quick primer. A Green Lantern is a superhero who has the ability to create green hard light constructs using a ring that gets its power from a power lantern. With their power ring, a Green Lantern can construct anything they put their mind to: boxing gloves, guns, cars, Wonder Woman, girlfriends, etc.
While Alan Scott was technically the first Green Lantern, created in the "Golden Age of Comics" (which spanned from the 1940s to early 50s), the modern GL mythos that we know today came about in the "Silver Age" (mid-1950s to 60s), along with Hal Jordan, who is the most well-known and most marketed Green Lantern today. Hal was a test pilot who received a power ring and lantern from a dying alien whose ship crashed on Earth. With the ring in hand, Hal joined the Green Lantern Corps, an interstellar force that policed the universe. The Green Lantern Corps was overseen by the Guardians of the Universe, who are connected to the Green Lantern Central Power Battery. Hal was adventurous, brash, and cocky. And he was infamously an idiot.
Hal wasn't the on

So I just saw another article about the ongoing feud between Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds. It's been long established by FDS that Ryan Reynolds is an LVM, but this article made me realize Hugh Jackman is, too. Hugh is often seen as this wonderful, sensitive family man, which he very well may be. But this article went into the background of how he began feuding with Reynolds. At the time, Reynolds was married to ScarJo, who was good friends with Jackman, and he had issues with how Reynolds was treating her. That seems high value enough, right? Wrong! I've seen this back and forth between Jackman and Reynolds in the media for years and I've never known the backstory until now. But here's the thing: it's hard to tell whether Jackman is jesting or seriously hates Reynolds. He'll undercut him or take the piss out of him, but has done (mocking) commercials endorsing Reynolds' vodka brand, worked with him on personal projects, etc. Then after a long period of seeming friendship, Jackman will do something to reignite the feud, something that will genuinely embarrass and undermine Reynolds. Some might think, "oh, that means he's an HVM. He's hurting Reynolds to get back at him for hurting his friend." Nah.
A real HVM is direct. His yes is yes and his no is no. A real HVM would never pal around with someone they despised, playing frenemies on the world stage like teenagers. An HVM would have confronted Reynolds if he didn't like the way he treated his friend. An HVM wouldn't hang out in any capacity with someone who had cheated on and disrespected a friend of his. He wouldn't try to play both sides against the middle by enjoying the publicity of creating drama with Reynolds while playing the hero opposite Reynolds' bad guy. An HVM has integrity, is inherently honest. Not brutally honest or brusquely honest, but real and open. An HVM wouldn't sell out his dignity or his principles, especially for money or publicity he didn't even need. This carries over into every area of life. Because the HVM is direct and upfront, he's not going to keep a woman he's not interested in around as a "just in case" backup. He's not going to date when he knows he isn't ready or available. He isn't going to play games. Integrity is a must in an HVM, and that means his actions should always clearly parallel his words. If he says he likes someone, his actions should reflect it/ And if he claims to dislike someone, his actions should reflect that, too.

Every Ronald Jones II Play: Weeks 1 - 15
With the news of Fournetteβs hamstring/groin injury, RoJo steps into a premier role on one of the leagueβs best offenses. If he happens to be sitting on your leagueβs waivers, he is the unquestioned top pickup this week. The vacated workload is huge, the team is dealing with injuries all over the offense, and the upcoming matchups are enticing. All things considered, RoJo is shaping up to be a playoff hero.
~
Uncle Lenny had been seeing a huge workload before his injury, averaging over 19 opportunities per game before Week 15. He parlayed that usage into over 1,200 total yards, and 10 total TDs, in 13 full games. With Fournette now out of the picture for the near future, and Giovani Bernardβs season ended as of Week 14, RoJo now sits at the front of a short line for the Bucs starting RB. That role has been very valuable for fantasy, and the upcoming matchups are extremely juicy.
~
The Buccaneers travel to face the Carolina Panthers in Week 16, taking on run defense that was stifling to begin the year. However, they have regressed towards the mean over the course of the season, and have now given up the 8th-most rushing yards to RBs in 2021. For what itβs worth, they have remained the strongest defense in terms of RB receiving production, as they have allowed the fewest receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns to RBs this season.
~
In Week 17, RoJo could be a week-winner (and in many cases, a league-winner) in his matchup with the New York Jets. Assuming Fournette is still out, RoJo would get the majority of work against by far the best matchup for RBs, and t
