The whole scandal is so juicy it puts Days Of Our Lives to shame, but the tl;dr is this:
Public Figure conducts extramarital affair that results in a child.
Public Figure abandons baby momma & child.
Public Figure is publically pretty nasty to his baby momma.
Public Figure fakes being fired to avoid paying child support. Claims he had lost all income when in reality he was pulling in $500,000/yr (and possibly more--income of as much as $90,000 per month during the heat of the election).
According to baby momma , Miller has poured more resources into fighting the child support than it would cost to simply pay the child support.
Blah blah blah, perjury is against the law--but in my (admittedly limited) experience, judges come to work everyday with the expectation of being blatantly lied to. Even in cases of clear cut perjury, I've never seen a court drop the axe. With the understanding that this convo is 100% speculative, what kind of consequences is Miller looking at realistically? This is a man who appears to move through the legal system with absolutely no fear of repercussions , and it's not clear to me if his superciliousness is justified--or if it's just unhinged sociopathy.
P.S. before anybody gets political on me--this is not a Democrat/Republican thing. Hunter Biden, John Edwards, Matt Gaetz (alledgedly)--this is a Powerful People Playing By Their Own Rules thing, not a left/right mudslinging contest. I'm interested in Miller's legal woes because it was so insanely brazen; not here for partisan gloating or political discourse.
