Japanese hybrid cruiser line proposal

Tier5: Nisshin https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_seaplane_carrier_Nisshin

Tier6: Oyodo https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_cruiser_%C5%8Cyodo

Tier7: Mogami post Midway refit https://i.imgur.com/nd8fKfo.jpg

Tier 8: Tone preliminary design with 4 x 3 155mm guns

Tier 9: Chikuma, second ship in the Tone class https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_cruiser_Chikuma_(1938)

Tier 10: Well there are no real designs that can fit this line here as far as i know, there is a 1920s design for a hybrid cruiser but it is way too heavily armed (6x3 150mm) to be the tier 10 of this line, (would make a cool tier X special ship tho). So i think for tier X a hypothetical refit to Yoshino with the back turret and catapult removed and a flight deck added would be a good fit.

The gimmick of this line is obviously the planes, low tier ships (tier 5 to 8) get access to HE dive bombers, the tier 5 and 6 get D3A's (hypothetical) while the tier 7 and 8 get D4Y's (used on Ise class). The tier 9 and 10 get M6A's with the ability to switch between either torpedo or bomb load-outs in port.

Given that these cruisers have bad main armaments i would also propose to give them a main battery reload booster consumable, other consumables would be your heal for tier 9 and 10 and standard hydro/def aa, or another idea would be to give them the ability to launch fighter planes like a CV instead of the choice to use def aa.

I would really like to hear what you guys think of this proposal.

Tier IX Fuji:

Fuji is a B-65 Class Battlecruiser armed with 410mm guns.

Consumables:

Rapid Reload III x2

Secondary Overload I x2

Engine Boost II x3

Play style:

Her play style would be to snipe on battleships from range with her HE shells that will have a very high fire chance. Her guns will also have a short reload time for their caliber. Her secondaries will also be better of that on Azuma with shorter reload, and can be controlled manually. This allows her to enter a brawl with other heavy cruisers and come out on top.

In the design plan of the B65 large cruiser——A vague lightweight plan has been proposed.

This plan is to equip higher than 8 guns over 10 inches on a ship with a standard displacement of 15,000 tons,And can reach a maximum speed than 36 knots,at the same time, the plan also defines the protection indicators.

After completing the ship design details by us,We created this ship—The tier X Japanese Super heavy cruiser KUMOTORI,The name of the ship is taken from Japan KUMOTORI mountain(くもとりやま/雲取山).

Japanese Cruisers

I have a question I want to bring up I talk to other people about it in my friend Circle and they said the same thing but I want to hear the outer opinion of the community. What is everybody's opinion on Japanese Cruiser like I understand they have good guns with high fire chance and high high explosive damage but every time I play them I get Citadel from the weirdest angles and I don't last more than 2 to 3 salvos of shots because I always get hit even though I'm angling or sailing away from the Target and I get absolutely smacked like 15K off from like one Shell at the weirdest angle. So I've stopped playing my Japanese Cruisers but I question is is this happening to everybody or am I just running them wrong?

Ship Spotlight: Tone (Tier VIII Japanese Premium Cruiser)

Dramatic photo of the Japanese heavy cruiser Chikuma, Tone-class, underway. Date unknown.

History

Tone was the last heavy cruiser class constructed for the Imperial Japanese Navy prior to Japan’s entrance into World War II. The design for Tone (pronounced “toe-nay”) was a major modification of the Mogami-class, retaining heavy cruiser firepower while also providing its fleet with aerial reconnaissance as part of the IJN’s interwar “decisive battle” doctrine. Tone and Chikuma were originally designed as the fifth and sixth members of the Mogami-class cruiser (a light cruiser at the time, albeit designed from the start to accept a turret swap from triple 155 mm turrets to dual 203 mm turrets and subsequent reclassification as a heavy cruiser). However, Tone was redesigned in 1936-1937 while the ship was being laid down, as Japan had announced their withdrawal from the London Naval Treaty. Tone was equipped with eight 203 mm/50 cal. guns in twin gun mounts, while retaining the same triple torpedo mounts as the Mogami-class. The IJN doctrine dictated that all carrier-based planes were reserved for attack or defense, leaving most reconnaissance duties to the catapult floatplanes of the carrier escort fleet.  Therefore, to accommodate both design criteria, Tone’s unique design placed all eight 203 mm guns in twin gun mounts in the forward section of the ship between the bow and the conning tower, leaving the aft section for seaplane storage and catapults. Tone was designed to carry eight seaplanes for reconnaissance and anti-submarine warfare (ASW), however in practice neither Tone nor Chikuma carried more than five.

Tone and her sister ship Chikuma often operated together as Cruiser Division 8 attached to the Kido Butai (Mobile Striking Force; the first massed carrier fleet in the world), providing anti-aircraft and recon support. The ships and their spotter planes played important roles in the Pearl Harbor attack and the Battle of Midway. Tone and Chikuma participated in the great battles around Guadalcanal and the Solomon Islands, after which their anti-aircraft protection was steadily built up (albeit with many of the outdated and lackluster 25 mm AA guns). As the tide of the Pacific War turned and Imperial Japan's desperation to fight a decisive battle became overwhelming, the two cruisers were committed to fight in the
