TIL that Jamie Farr served in the Army in Korea! From Wikipedia:
“After his role in the 1955 film Blackboard Jungle, he entered the United States Army for two years, serving overseas in Japan and Korea. His service in Korea was after the hostilities had ended. In his MAS*H role as Max Klinger, he can be seen wearing his actual U.S. Army-issued dog tags.”

So, sort of an odd question. I bought the Flood album in 1990, and I remember something strange from it, that I can't locate anymore. Does anyone remember a song in Flood, not sure which, where they mention that the winner would claim "an unbridled night of passion with Jamie Farr"? I live in Toledo and there is nothing here to be proud of, except MASH and Jamie Farr’s corporal klinger put Toledo on the map back in the 70s. I think we should have a small statue of him there like the don knotts Statue they have in Morgantown, West Virginia. And we can put it between the packos and the mud hens field that way whenever someone drives by they can look at it and be like “that’s why I know what Toledo is” and then get a nice hot dog. All we have if the man is a bun he signed in the Tony packos and now we just need a statue of him to remind everyone of how others know about our city. The local government won’t spend money on fixing potholes but they will probably spend it on this.
I spoke to him recently and he his struggling with his rheumatoid arthritis and could use some cheering up. Please DM for his address if you want to send him a get well card or a nice letter. He would really appreciate it!
