I've tried it out and it's lovely to play, great tone etc. Just wondered if other people think it's worth the buy? Been saving up for a new bass for a while now and this is my first choice but want to make sure it's worth all the money!

I'm thinking of making an offer on a 2009 Epiphone Jack Casady Bass but I have no idea what to offer. I don't think they had the regular 600 dollar one and the 799 Vintage Pro they have now but I don't know that either. I've searched for info but so far no luck. It's in good shape. Any opinions?
I am thinking about getting a used one. Would appreciate hearing from anyone with any positive or negative thought on this particular model...
I love the sound of the Epiphone Jack Casady signature bass, but don't like the feeling of the neck and didn't really balance well on my shoulder. I was hoping a more practiced luthier could answer what the circuit transformer is, as well as pickup output? I am looking to recreate the circuit in a bass that I like the feel of better. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, bassists of Reddit, maybe you can help me out on this one:
So, I have a Behringer BDI-21 (basically a SansAmp ripoff, for those unaware) and this Zoom B3.
Jack Casady is my hero, both in tone and playing style and I wanted to get closer to his sound to see what I can do with it (most particularly that Bless Its Pointed Little Head sound).
Does anyone know of a good setup to get anything close to that kind of overdrive? Most of my attempts led to some lack of clarity on the tone. Preferably leaving some room for an effect after that, but it's okay if it takes all slots.
By the way, I'm also looking to get some other (inexpensive) analog pedals like the BDI that would lead me to that sound without the B3 (so I can use it solely for effects). Maybe the Tube Screamer will do? I don't have stores nearby, so I'll have trust opinions and YouTube videos for that.
I briefly tried one several years ago and loved it, but have been unable to find one since. One just came up for sale and G.A.S is kicking in, so obviously I want to buy it. However, given it’s been so long, I was wondering whether it’s just nostalgia and looks that are selling me on it, or whether it’s an actual quality product.

I've been thinking about picking up an Epiphone Jack Casady recently. However, I've had issues in the past with the thickness of (semi) hollowbodies and acoustics. I don't like the way they bite into my right arm.
Can anyone comment on the thickness of the body on this model, or the overall comfort factor in playing it? I'm unlikely to find one to check out "in the flesh" locally before purchase.
Always wanted one. My dad LOVED hot tuna and jeff airplane, always ranted anout jack. Since his bass came out, its been on my radar. Now that im 24 and saved enough to get an MIA Jazz, i want a hollow body. Checked out the Jack and saw they have it in silverburst. Seriously i blew a load in my pants.
My question to those who have experience and/or knowledge of the Jack Casady: i visited a local shop in downtown Manhattan and the dude told me they are made cheap. He kinda seemed like a slapdick... But is this true? I wanna know because I have the grand or so to drop on a better hollowbody. Please let me know- and any pros and cons are greatly welcomed. Ive done a bunch of research but failed to find intricate details on its pros and cons and/or if its made cheap. Thanks fellow low noters!
