Trying to convince my husband on Irish Setter as a bird dog

My husband has grown up with bird dogs, specifically English Setters but has always wanted to try an Irish Setter. We just put down a deposit on an IS puppy, but he's concerned he won't be able to hunt grouse and pheasant with her. Anyone have any positive feedback I can relay to him? Thanks!

Also, is an IS too high strung to live with two toddlers? We can exercise her frequently and send to daycare once or twice a week if needed, but we do have a lot of chaos already. I'm looking at it as just adding a little more to the mix.

I’ve got a kinda self-insert OC that’s a Pooka (a fae creature from irish folklore). Sometimes he looks like a goblin, sometimes a black animal (Usually a big black dog because I’ve also kinda based him on a church grim) but I think his true form might be like this. He’s aroace and autistic like me.

[TOMT] [BOOK] [2000s] An Irish teenager age comedy book about a dog (I think?) saving Christmas.

The book was extremely meta, and super funny. I'm pretty sure it was set in Dublin. I read it was like 12ish, so around 13/14 years ago. Couldn't have come out much earlier than tht. On the cover, the dog (or other creature) had reindeer antlers on it, and I want to say its name was Ralph or Rolph? Which doesn't sound very Irish to me lol. With its meta nature, it randomly had fake ads in it. One I remember is able sentient teeth. This whole thing is starting to feel like a fever dream lol.
