My husband and I are relocating here for work and we need to find a place to rent quickly. My husband has been reaching out to different places he has found online, but we wanted to know if there's anyone/anyplace to watch out for in terms of landlords and locations. Or if there are any apartments that are difficult to find online that you could point us to. We currently pay $900 not including utilities for a 2 bedroom for reference (willing to pay more). We don't have any pets, but we're thinking about adopting a cat eventually.

We are planning to drive out in the next week or so, but we'll only be able to be there for a day or two, the drive is 4-5 hours from our current location.

Hello everyone. Just wanted to give you guys an update. Got heavily criticized in my thread a few weeks ago for wanting to do this. Been in the UK for 8 days now. Everything has gone smoothly with driving. Took me a few hours to get used to the sitting in the right side of the car and driving in the left side of the road. My hands were a bit discombobulated and even confused doing normal tasks. I haven’t killed anyone or gotten into a car accident. I can drive here in my sleep now.

Day 1 - Arrived into Edin airport. Got my Covid test and hire car and immediately went to Arthur’s Seat as I only had two hours of sunlight. Was a beautiful success. Got great pics of Seat and from Salisbury Craggs. Afterwards parked in downtown Edinburgh and walked around a bit. Bought my Severus Snape Wand on Victoria Street. Afterwards started making my way to fort William to hike Nevis. Stopped by tesco and TK Maxx to buy some necessities. Weird it’s TK here, stateside it’s TJ maxx. Drove through strirling. Arrived near Fort William around 4am. Parked in a pitch black layby and tried to take a nap.

Day 2- Couldn’t fall asleep, drove to Nevis around 6am and started the hike on no sleep. This was the only day in the forecast it wasn’t gonna rain until 3pm. Got to the top but clouds came in. A successful and beautiful hike nonetheless. I’ve been to every national park in the US and hiked about 40 mountains in the last 15 months. And the views of Nevis of all the surrounding lochs and other mountains is a top 3 view I’ve ever seen. Afterwards went into fort William and went to mercaris for my first Scottish meal. Fish and chips, fried haggis, fried black pudding, macaroni and cheese, and a scotch pie. Was so hungry after hiking knocked it all out. Parked next to some other cars in downtown fort William and fell asleep. No police tickets or anything.

Day 3: Woke up early before sunrise to head to Loch Eilt to see Dumbledore’s Gravesite. Clouds and gloomy sky made it look just like the movies. Perfect. Decided I was gonna go drive to Isle of Skye since it was clear skies for most of the day. Drove past Glenfinnan Viaduct and was wondering why it looked so familiar. U-turned and hiked up to get a picture. Unfortunately the train is not in season so no Hogwarts express photo. Started driving towards Isle of Skye since all the ferries were booked. Had to stop every 5 minutes tk take photos. The drive from Fort Augustus to Portree is one of the best scenic drives I’ve

The baby is not in the correct position and Claire fears what she might have to do in attempting to assist with the birth. That baby, a little girl, is born feet first but no worse for the wear. With the baby safely delivered Jamie, Claire, and Ian say their goodbyes and depart the Ridge.

November 1776, London - Lord John meets with the appropriate secretaries of state to inform them of Percy Beauchamp’s statements. LJG also wants to find out more about what Percy has been up to, and when reading a file on him finds that Percy is searching for a Claudel Fraser.

While at dinner one night LJG receives a letter from William claiming he and his cousin Dottie are in love and asking permission to marry. LJG suspects things are not as they seem and confronts Dottie about it. She insists she and William are in love and she wants to go to America to marry him.

October 1980, Inverness - Roger and Bree have had a fight ending with her calling him a coward. Roger is having a crisis of faith and is unsure what he wants to do with his life. Brianna however knows what she wants and is applying for a job at a hydroelectric plant. Roger sorts through his feelings about that while walking around Inverness. He decides he must do something in Oxford and sets off for there. We close out the chapters with another letter from the Fraser’s.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.

Rental sites. Zumper (+1 seems more accurate on availability/ rates than other rental websites) Facebook Marketplace, Zillow, Apartments.com. Craigslist is hit and miss for me, watch out for scams. I've had some success just googling "property management companies in Toledo"

Decent safe areas. That's a tough one and a much debated topic here but I only know a little.

I know the Brooke Park neighborhood in the North Toledo/Whitmer Trilby area isn't good, which is deceptive because it's within spitting distance of the nice burb of Bedford Township Michigan. Slumlord Beal has rentals there though.

I personally don't know but East Toledo is generally frowned upon.

From what I gather the decent areas are West Toledo, Ottawa Hills, Point Place (as long as you don't mind the mayfly season) Holland, Sylvania, Perrysburg, Maumee, Waterville, and Bedford Township Michigan, which is just over the border. Maybe Downtown, the Old West End and Northwood/Oregon. West of Douglas Rd. I really don't know a lot about some areas.
