AVPL is a good movie and i liked it a lot though i have many issues with the screenplay in the 2nd half of the film which i will discuss later but one thing people does'nt know about this flick that the main Basic plot of the film is ditto same as Raj and Randhir kapoor film Dharam-Karam which released in 1975

In Dharam-karam a crook replaces his son in the hospital with billionaire's son so that his son lives his life like a prince and this same plot is of AVPL too But brilliant director Trivikram gave his own Family touch and created a screenplay around one big billionaire family and his middle-class secretary family & Directed it so beautifully that it turned out a massive blockbuster

Allu Arjun is simply outstanding as usual and his Style , swag and persona literally sail through this film despite having a half baked screenplay in 2nd half and not forget about the music and BGM too which is an All-timer stuff

Now Let's talk about the major flaws of this film , The BIGGEST Drawback of this film was the climax itself , The mothers of both the sons not able to know the truth is biggest blunder filmmaker committed , The film does'nt reaches a satisfying conclusion at all , If Fathers got to know about the truth then mother also DESERVES to know the truth and the reason for not telling the truth was even more nonsensical and terrible

2nd Biggest flaw of this movie was the characterisation of both the fathers , Yes the film tried very hard to show Valmiki as an asshole but it was not fully convincing enough especially in the 2nd half there were few instances where it shows that despite all the hate he still has feeling for Bantu as his son and wanted to reconcile with bantu on the other hand Jayaram who is an Biological father of bantu despite so much glorification of him in the movie u never feel the pain of him as an father , Neither the performance of jayaram Nor his tough face creates any sympathy for him

And if i compare this particular thing with Dharam-Karam there u can easily feel the PAIN of real father (Raj kapoor ) and contrary to that other Father crook Ramnath was a perfect asshole whom you Hate throughout the film without any redemption , This convincing differentiation between the 2 fathers characters was majorly missing in AVPL when i was watching this movie during the last hour i actually wanted Bantu to reject billionaire life and get back to his middle-class life and reconcile with valimiki and valmiki also starts loving him like

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
