What’s up with girls putting their Snapchat/instagram handles in their bio?
I started noticing this more and more this year. I’m not sure if it’s a trend but would love any insight on it. 7 out of 10 times, I’ll see a girl put their @‘s in their tinder bio. Sometimes even followed by ‘add me on (insert network)’. To me it doesn’t sound like a great idea to put a direct line to yourself for hundreds of strangers to see but that’s my opinion 🤷♂️.
I thought it was something IG models did promoting their social media but I see lots of regular people (not internet models/celebs/personalities) doing the same thing. Maybe guys do it too, I haven’t really checked.
I guess what I really want to know is why?

What's up with all the people on Instagram who have "Forex & Crypto Investing" in their bio?
Recently I've seen a bunch of people with no finance background posting pictures of themselves looking at a stock chart on their phone with "Forex & Crypto" in their bio. They talk about being an entrepreneur and ask people to join them/connect. I'm just wondering if this is a recent mlm/pyramid scheme or a bunch of people following some investment blog/guru's advice about day-trading. There seems to be an increasingly number of ig accounts that use a weird long string of what.what.what in the link bio. Does anyone know what's the meaning of that or it's just pure trolling?

It wasn't the most competitive school I applied to, it wasn't even the most competitive school I got into, but it doesn't matter. I know it's where I'll be the happiest. Plus my whole family lives in the region of the school, which is halfway across the country from me, and it'll be amazing to spend time with them over the next four years. I joined the accepted students facebook, I got my new email address, and God it feels good to be done. Thanks for all the help /r/ApplyingToCollege, and ON WISCONSIN!

I’m a very closeted exmo, everyone thinks I’m super in. I’m 18 and a lot of the kids from the ward follow my Instagram. It gave me a lot of anxiety but I put this link in my insta bio in hopes one of them sees it, if it outs me to my parents so be it.
This fake account made it look like the official Instagram account is following it, but it's actually just a part of the bio.
