Like what makes someone a Sans? What are the credentials for being a Sans? What about his kids? Are they Sanses? It's clearly not about being named Sans- because a lot of the Sanses aren't named Sans. Is it the Sans headshape?

Little backstory for Ruler Sans.
So one day sans was just living life (true pacifist ending) and all of a sudden a crack in space and time caused by an unknown being trying to wipe out the main Undertale universe creates a rift that opens up in the sky and out falls a staff from another Universe (one where god-like beings rule). Sans inspects the staff and picks it up. Sans is immediately given powers so strong that they allow him to can create life and universes with. So Sans now called Ruler Sans makes multiverses each with different rulers. One of those rulers happens to be Ink Sans. The End.
So basically Ruler Sans created all AU's including Ink Sans. This also means that their are multiple universes where Ink Sans isn't the overseer/ruler. Ink Sans didn't know about Ruler Sans because Ruler Sans rules the multiverse where Ink Sans supposedly rules and purposely made Ink Sans forget about him. The reason why the drawing is in mostly black and white is because in the void where Ruler Sans overseas most magic is not allowed (this is so incase someone finds out about him, they can't overthrow him). The only things that glow and have color are Ruler Sans' crown and staff. In this void, their is little to know magic so Ink Sans' powers don't work here which is why his brush isn't colorful.
My AU is called Underule and is about a interdimensional multi-universe of all the different AU's all under the rule of Ruler Sans. More will be revealed about my AU later through up in coming comics and more drawings.
