Personally, I think they should make a similar safety feature like in South Korea where they have a wall with doors, and the doors only open when the train stops in the station (Idk what that's called), and that would prevent trips, falls and shoves onto the tracks. After seeing the news from like yesterday after an R hit someone and killed them after they were shoved onto the tracks, it felt to me like this feature is an absolute necessity.
Why isn’t it there? I got rails on my front porch and it’s only got one step. People keep getting pushed or fall on the rails. Why isn’t there a wall? Or barriers?… just seems like there should be.
Considering that the 510 and 512 operate in a very similar fashion to Line 6 Finch West (right-of-way, underground at both terminuses), why not integrate them into the subway system by giving them line numbers?
The date is December 23, 2021. I’m still reeling over this. I sit down in my local subway (Jared Fogle) to order my usual $5 Footlong with Bell peppers, chicken, jalapenos, garlic, onions, and lettuce, anchovies the AltingSinceThe90s Classic as I call it, anyways, thats besides the point. I’m sitting down, tearing into this sandwich like a predator feasting on it's prey (I am the predator...) and over the sound system of the restaurant I hear something I never could have expected, Life Goes On by Oliver Tree!! I immediately lick my finger and raise it skyward to detect the direction of the slight breeze I felt run along my scalp. Northward. Something is afoot. I walk inconspicuously to the counter and strike a conversation with the young fellow who took my order. “Do you know who this is?” I ask, inquisitively. “Uhh, isn’t this that Oliver Tree guy from TikTok?” he replies. I instantly jump on top of the nearest table, revolted at his response and shout to both him and the approximately 13 innocent restaurant-goers, “WOAH MAMA! HE’S NOT JUST FROM TIKTOK LITTLE DUDE! HE’S OLIVER TREE! THE SCOOTER GOD! HE HAS AN ALBUM CALLED UGLY IS BEAUTIFUL AND AN EP CALLED ALIEN BOY…” I continue talking about Ollie and don’t stop for another 15 minutes until security takes me out of the restaurant. As I’m being dragged out by my legs, a kid says to me “You’re my hero, can you sign an autograph!” I say to him, “Sure, kid, whats your name?” He responds, “My name is Faizaan Malik (Green), but you can just make the autograph out to Gibby!” “Anytime, kid.” I say, before being cuffed and forced into the back of the police car. Years later, I’m reading the local tribune, and I see the headline “Local teen u/faizaanmalik wins Subreddit of The Year for r/greengirl!” Upon further reading of the article, a quote from Faizaan is shared, where he says, “I give all my credit to u/AltingSinceThe90s, he’s my hero!” Revolted, I issue a drone strike on his house. It was his time. Woah nelly! So, scooter army, AITA for issuing a drone strike on an innocent child’s house??

I recently visited Europe and I was really impressed by the mass transit system in Munich. When I got home, I wondered what that would look like here in Omaha so I created a Google Earth project with a possible rail system. It's still a work in progress but I think the idea has merit. The one big thing that discourages me, is that I notice next to no one rides the bus system, so I have a feeling a train system would suffer the same fate. So, take a look, and any feedback you have would be really cool.
