A list of puns related to "Inci Name"
Hi,
I have a question regarding different CAS Registry Numbers but have the same INCI name.
The INCI name is Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate (SMCT) and I'm trying to buy the powdered version. I found 2 retailers that supply it but they have 2 different CAS #'s for the SMCT.
CAS:12765-39-8 ( https://www.jeen.com/technical/SDS_Jeepon_30-A_Powder.pdf )
and
CAS:61791-42-2 ( https://www.makingcosmetics.com/msds/sds-sodium-methyl-cocoyl-taurate-powder.pdf )
Would anyone be able to distinguish or explain the difference to me between these CAS numbers? It looks like it's the same formulation and INCI name.
Thank You !!
Does anyone know if there is a list of cosmetic ingredients which links trade names to INCI? Lists of INCI names are easily obtainable but I have a huge list of trade names from various companies which I would like to assign INCIs to without googling them all, if this is possible.
Thanks
If youβre allergic to certain foods or chemicals, you likely already know which ingredients you need to stay away from. But just in case you donβt, Iβve compiled a list of allergens and all their INCI names (how they appear on ingredient lists) so youβll be aware of which ingredients and products you need to avoid in your skin care. Clicking on the ingredient will lead to a list of products itβs found in so you can easily add the list to your βavoidβ or βdo not buyβ list.
Please note: itβs the dose that makes the poison. As with any skincare product, make sure you patch test! Itβs likely that these ingredients are used in such tiny amounts in skincare (like 0.1%) that they wonβt cause your skin to react at all. The amount of processing an ingredient goes through before it's in a finished cosmetic product likely makes it totally fine to use on your skin. Still, some people have severe contact allergies or even just sensitivities and need to avoid even the smallest amounts.
This list isnβt comprehensive and I will be adding to it from time to time. It's a work in progress. Also, obvious ingredients that are easy to spot wonβt be added (like lanolin or fragrance, for example). Coconut allergy and coconut-derived ingredients are so widespread in cosmetics and skincare that it needs its own post!
Just seen the changes to the NASDAQ 100 coming up in 2022. Frankly, surprised some of the names that were in NASDAQ100 and some that were already not in the list! Having said that the total market cap of new additions is more than double the ones thrown out.
Should be interesting for index funds like QQQ and the others
Additions:
$ABNB Market Cap = 115B
$DDOG = 54B
$PANW = 53B
$LCID = 62B
$FTNT = 54B
$ZS = 43B
---- Total = 381B
Removals:
$CDW = 26B
$FOXA = 20B
$CERN = 22
$CHKP = 15
$TCOM = 17
$INCY = 14
---- Total = 114B

This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
