A fun fact i learned about the House Oduduwa in Yorubaland:
If you check their dynasty tree, and you go to the first dynasty member, you will find it was founded by a guy called Olodumare.
In game, whenever the Orisan characters refer to god, they say "Olorun".
Well, Olorun and Olodumare are the same person, it's just different ways of saying the same name. Olodumare means like "Lord of All Creation" while Olorun means "Lord of Orun (Spirit World)"
In fact, in the Americas, you have a ton of Yoruba religions that were brought by the slaves like Santeria, Umbanda, Candomble, Orisha, etc.
In those religions where a lot of sincretism have developed, Olorun is recognized as Jehova or the Christian God.
In Yoruba mythology, Oduduwa (Olodumare's son in the game files) is a Orisha who was sent by Olorun to create the earth over the oceans, and he is called "The Father of the Yoruba people".
So if you are looking for an exceptional family with a cool background/family tree but not much power in game, the Oduduwa dynasty is a great choice.
