The Hyper Casual Games Conference start today and finish the May 28, 2021. You can grab a ticket at this link -> https://hgconf.com/#program
A basic free ticket give an access to all session, the expo zone and a limited access meeting system.
As their website said : "Hyper Games Conference (HGC) is the major online conference in its niche devoted to the development, promotion, and growth of the Hyper Casual Games industry."
To remind, a lot of good conferences shared here came from the previous session:
I have been feeling nauseated at the flood of rinse and repeat "hyper casual" games on the App Store. These are cheaply made with the same assets...innovative ideas relative to readily available assets have been overexploited, several of the successful games are just straight up rip offs of ingenious indie titles...is it just me feeling this way? Do you folks think there is a way to create a superior experience for players? Perhaps another business model? I want to know your thoughts
These are the mostly used mechanics in hyper casual games:

Hi there! i am a beginner learning Godot to make hyper casual games Is this engine good for making hyper casual games.I am a big fan of hyper casual games and want to develop some of my own so it worth learning for me?
Thanks and feedback will be appreciated
Hi guys! I just updated my work in progress game, Orbit.
Orbit is a hyper-casual game with you controlling a ball in a fixed orbit to prevent it from colliding with enemy boxes. Tap to change direction or tap and hold to slow down.
May I ask for comments and suggestions on what else I have to work on and what would you like to see on future update?
Note: I'm aware of the bug on the particle animation when a wall type enemy hits the ground.
Step into the pleasing world of colors! This crazy swipe game is so addictive that once you start swiping you cannot stop.
Color Hunt is pretty simple to play. Swipe on the colors as per the instructions and let alone the "dangerous colored lamps or lotus leaf." Do not let go any of the colors that you have instructed to hunt. Color Hunt also improves your memory as you have to remember exciting details as you play. The captivating music along with the mind-blowing graphic makes a perfect combo. Ever been so focused, concentrated and relaxed at the same time? That is exactly how you feel as you play this addictive game. So don't you miss out this amazing game.
It is 100% possible to win every level, yet not everyone can do it. So get ready to feel the thrill.
The top game in the Google Play store is called Rise Up and it's about a balloon which you have to protect while it flies up. There's an incredible amount of ads displayed.
The developer is some random dude - it's not Ketchapp or any of those. I've published a few games to Google Play and the App Store and I know how badly free-to-play games usually do with discoverability. Maybe I'm wrong because I haven't dealt with mobile games in a while.
Anyway, what is the real story? Is it a publisher who does this or what exactly is this sorcery which causes people to like and play such repetitive titles with incredible amounts of 30 second ads?
Would really appreciate it if anyone sheds some light on the subject.
Edit: Some clarification on the actual question.
How does a game which is hyper casual get picked up from the gigantic pool of hyper casual games?
What makes people prefer one hyper casual game to another?

The levels and colors are all randomly generated

I have a degree in chemical engineering, though games have always been my biggest passion. I learned C++ with no real experience in any kind of programming, and after UE4 made my computer cry I switched to C# and Unity3D and I couldn't be happier. This is the result of about 3 months of learning and 1 month of working on the game. It's definitely not a masterpiece, but it's a start... It didn't really get much attention so I would like to hear some feedback.
It's completely free, but it does have ADS, though I tried to keep it lightweight in comparison to other games on the market.
In 2018 hyper casual games have become a big thing. But there is no any information who is the hyper casual player. Did you meet any audience analysis such as age, gender, interests, preferences, motivation?
Most importantly what basic needs they satisfy while playing those simple games (competency? autonomy? relatedness? other?)
I've made a small and simple "Hyper Casual" game, just for fun, and I'm too lazy to come up with a new game or start doing my dream Tower Defense game lol.
Feel free to give it a try, and give your positive and negative feedback as well

I am current working on a hyper casual game, the main designing work is done i just need someone who are experienced that can code it out and a sound designer to help with the sfx and background music
I am still a student and very passionate about making games, hope to find similar comrades to work on this project together if you do not mind just creating games while earning nothing!! you can even add this in your portfolio too!
