Apparently they are going after gas 1/2 mile east of our property but there was no road to the location so they are directional drilling from our property. We've paid an engineering firm to plat out our land to home builders, those plans were expensive and are worthless now. No one will buy a house with a gas well out their back door, lost every buyer we had lined up.
We haven't been paid a cent nor have they called us back to negotiate the cost of damages, trees taken, lot buyers that have now backed out, and acreage they have taken.
I feel it's hopeless going against big oil but I didn't know this was something that was possible in the "great" state of Texas.

Xcel raised their rates from $0.72/therm to $0.78/therm from December 21 to January 2022. Compare this to January 2021, when it was $0.50/therm.
I encourage everyone to call/email the PUC and tell them that we believe it to be outrageous that the energy travesty that transpired in Texas last winter is being passed on to Colorado residents.

Anyone else think the natural gas price is stupid expensive? I live in a 2500sqft house with heat on at 73 all day, and gas stove oven. Nothing else used gas at the house. Today I woke up with $178 bill. Anyone else is getting high home gas bill or do I have a gas leak somewhere??
So I live in a two bedroom apartment (about 850 sq ft) in Millcreek. I pay through Dominion. My gas bill for December 2021 is $175. YOUCH! Is this average or am I doing something wrong here lol
