Climate: Owing to Somalia's proximity to the equator, there is not much seasonal variation in its climate. Hot conditions prevail year-round along with periodic monsoon winds and irregular rainfall. Mean daily maximum temperatures range from 30 to 40 °C (86 to 104 °F), except at higher elevations along the eastern seaboard, where the effects of a cold offshore current can be felt. In Mogadishu, for instance, average afternoon highs range from 28 to 32 °C (82 to 90 °F) in April.
Terrain: Somalia is a country located in the Horn of Africa which officially consists of five federal member states, namely Galmudug, Hirshabelle, Jubaland, South West, Puntland and the municipality of Benadir. It is bordered by Ethiopia to the west, the Gulf of Aden to the north, the Somali Sea and Guardafui Channel to the east, and Kenya to the southwest. With a land area of 637,657 square kilometers, Somalia's terrain consists mainly of plateaus, plains and highlands. Its coastline is more than 3,333 kilometers in length, the longest of mainland Africa. It has been described as being roughly shaped "like a tilted number seven". In the far north, the rugged east–west ranges of the Ogo Mountains lie at varying distances from the Gulf of Aden coast.
The Cal Madow mountain range in northern Somalia features the nation's highest peak, Shimbiris.
Wildlife of Somalia: Somalia contains a variety of mammals due to its geographical and climatic diversity. Wildlife still occurring includes cheetah, lion, reticulated giraffe, baboon, serval, elephant, bushpig, gazelle, ibex, kudu, dik-dik, oribi, Somali wild donkey, reedbuck and Grévy's zebra, elephant shrew, rock hyrax, golden mole and antelope. It also has a large population of the dromedary camel.

Hindus live in many different countries alongside many societies. And they manage to do so peacefully. They are not in conflict with any of them. On the other hand, the Muslims are in conflict with every other culture and society in the world. They do not seem to be living in peace with anyone. Where there are no Muslims, they fight with themselves. The situation is same everywhere from Afghanistan, Pakistan to Arabia and Africa. Why is this so?
This is because intolerance is at the root of Islam. It has been repeated in the Quran ad nauseam, that non-Muslims have to be either converted to Islam, or killed, or tolerated in an inferior position under the oppressive tax of Jizyah. More than seventy such Ayats exhort the Muslims to do so. The results are for everyone to see.
It is no longer the world of swords and daggers. It is the age of science and technology and in that the Muslim world lags far behind. As all the Muslims in the world have been converted with force, shouldn’t this process be reversed now? This is not a secret. Islamic historians boast with pride how Islam and Muslims invaded other countries and wiped out their native religions.
Criticism should lead Muslims to retrospection and not intolerance. No political ideology is eternal. The post of Caliphate was abolished by Muslims themselves. In 1924, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk himself said that Islam and the Quran are ‘dead’. And he was a modern Muslim leader. He also abolished the Shariat law, Arabic language and Islamic dress.
It should be remembered that Kemal Pasha was very popular in those days. Jinnah was also a fan of Pasha. The biography of Pasha Grey Wolf: Mustafa Kemal was Jinnah’s favorite book. Everyone knows Jinnah was concerned with Islam. He opposed the Mullahs and the Maulvis. (Had Gandhi not entered politics and not insulted and ignored Jinnah, things might have turned out differently.)

This post is a compilation of various articles, blogs, and other resources available online which chronicles the major events that led to the genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Hindus living in Kashmir. This is an important chapter in our history which is often overlooked to avoid fuelling communal tensions and continue the false pretense of 'secularism' and 'Hindu-Muslim unity'. The cold, dark night of January 19, 1990, had stirred into life the worst nightmares of Kashmiri Pandits living in the valley. Screaming from loudspeakers and crowded streets was a message for the Sikhs and Hindus living in Kashmir -
Ralive, Tsaliv ya Galive (either convert to Islam, leave the land, or die).
The threats had been coming in for a long time, but the night of January 19 is said to have seen a demented assault of a different level. Even today, Kashmiri Pandits shiver remembering the night that forced them into exodus.
Several authors have penned down accounts and personal experiences of the exodus over the years. What remains common in these descriptions is the fright that gripped this particular night.
Here's an excerpt of Col. (Dr.) Tej Kumar Tikoo's (Retd.) book, Kashmir: Its Aborigines and Their Exodus, describing the fateful night:
>On Jan, 04, 1990, a local Urdu newspaper, Aftab, published a press release issued by Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, asking all Pandits to leave the Valley immediately. Al Safa, another local daily repeated the warning. These warnings were followed by Kalashnikov-wielding masked Jihadis carrying out military-type marches openly. Reports of killing of Kashmiri Pandits continued to pour in. Bomb explosions and sporadic firing by militants became a daily occurrence.

From the Golden Teachings of Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi (ق) بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ اَلَّھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی سَیَّدِنَا محَمَّدٍ ﷺ وَعَلَی آلِ سَیَّدِنَا محَمَّدٍ ﷺ
Means that this majlis (gathering) not for cheap people, that you're just watching like an entertainment, but it’s an opportunity to come to show our love to Allah (AJ) that, ‘We love Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.’ And that when you praise upon, “Harisun ‘alaykum bilmuminina huwar raufun rahim” when you praise upon Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ a light will open within your heart, a reality opens within the heart of the believer.
لَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ عَزِيزٌ عَلَيْهِ مَا عَنِتُّمْ حَرِيصٌ عَلَيْكُم بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ ﴿١٢٨﴾
9:128 – “Laqad jaa akum rasulum min anfusikum ‘azizun ‘alayhi maa ‘anittum harisun ‘alaykum bilmuminina raufun rahim.” (Surat At-Tawbah)
“There has certainly come to you a Messenger from amongst/Within yourselves; it grieves him that you should perish; [he is] concerned over you, and to the believers he is most kind and merciful.” (The Repentance, 9:128)
That light and that love, “Feekum” Allah (AJ) describes that the light of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, ‘Feekum - is in you.’
كَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا فِيكُمْ رَسُولًا مِّنكُمْ يَتْلُو عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتِنَا …﴿١٥١﴾
2:151 – “Kama arsalna feekum Rasulam minkum yatlo ‘Alaykum ayatina…” (Surat Al-Baqarah)
“Just as We have sent among (within) you a messenger of your own, reciting to you Our Signs, ...” (The Cow, 2:151)

In the previous Librandotsav, I had explained how a line from Star Wars explains the process of revolutions. Today I am going to prove how suffering is minimized thanks to the games of politics.
So I am going to present two cases. One against Chintus and one against Mintus.
Case 1: The Kashmiri Pandit exodus
I think many people know about it, but I'll fill in the details for libbu teenagers here.
On January 19, 1990, under Farooq Abdullah's government, around 1.5 lakh Kashmiri Pandits fled the Kashmir Valley and sought refuge in either Jammu or the NCR. It was not just that. It started with the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front demanding a separate Kashmir by killing a BJP leader Tika Lal Tapoo, which instilled fear in Kashmiri Pandits. Then, some months later, local newspapers released a warning for them to leave Kashmir or face consequences, sourcing it to the well-known Islamist organization Hizbul Mujahideen.
In Srinagar, walls were filled with posters threatening the residents to follow the Islamic rule. Masked men armed with AK-47s forced people to reset their time to Pakistan Standard Time. Buildings and shops were colored green to show Islamic dominance. Homes and property of Kashmiri Pandits were destroyed or burned. Then finally a huge blackout happened except in mosques which were used to broadcast inflammatory messages, asking for the purge of Pandits.
After all of that, it was pure chaos. Lakhs of Pandits fled the valley, around 300-1000 Pandits were killed, the Gawkadal massacre happened, KP women were kidnapped, raped, and murdered, it was a living nightmare.
Now, coming to the main point:
BJP said that one of the reasons why they abrogated Article 370 is to ensure that the Kashmiri Pandits return to their rightful home. They also promised that in their 2014 and 2019 election manifesto.
Are they keeping their words, though? Well...
