A list of puns related to "High Sheriff Of Kent"
Like I promised in my last post on here, I would reupload "Cisco Kid" and "I Shot The Sheriff" in the highest quality possible, and its finally up! Here's a YouTube playlist containing both songs as well as a version labeled "Got To Find A Way Somehow" containing both songs in one video! As a bonus, I also tried my best on extending each songs to go for longer, heres' the changes made to each!
Link: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLW8Zmdtro0wv6n0HHOGnVDQgmc97I3yDy
Cisco Kid Changes:
- Intro has been doubled
- a transitioner has been added between the first two verse
I Shot The Sheriff Changes:
- Intro has been doubled like the other one cuz I wanted to add more tension in the song
- the song has been spaced out more with another extra verse added
Hope y'all enjoy! I'll be posting another post containing a "70's Mix" of Billie Jean tomorrow!
I occasionally listen to police/fire/ems on the 5-0 Radio App. The Kent County Sheriff is no longer listed, and hasn't been for a while. Does anyone know if they went encrypted?
This has become an expanding trend among law enforcement agencies, who have partnered with Amazon's Ring home surveillance service to be able to access your Ring devices without consent of the homeowner, raising privacy concerns.
We are looking at installing a basic security/camera setup, but are weighing overall quality with privacy concerns. Ring has high marks for quality, and lower marks from privacy advocates. Does anyone if anyone know if Kent County Sheriff's Dept. has partnered with Ring? My initial search was inconclusive. Thanks!
I was in my usual wikihole that somehow ended up on Giles Corey, probably the most famous story of the whole Salem Witch Trials, where he refused to enter a plea and was then pressed to death over 3 days. (As a quick aside, given how the stories tend to lionize the guy as a badass I was disheartened to find out he brutally beat and killed a servant for stealing some apples from another person in his 60s. Not very badass, but I digress.)
The man who did this was a one High Sheriff George Corwin. He comes across as having been very...dutiful bordering on enthusiastic in his torture of Corey, and after the whole affair he apparently tried to extort the families of victims. Thankfully he ends up dying of a heart attack a few years later...at age 31.
I don't know a lot about how sheriffs were chosen in 17th century English colonies, but that places him in his mid 20s during the trials. Was it normal for someone so young to be the one going around and enforcing justice? What qualifications did he even have at that age?
Ive been looking for years but never found any. All I can find are cheap T-shirts with dodgy prints.
