Hi! Anyone have any comments on Rush Henrietta school district particularly middle and high school, over the last few years? Are they good schools? Safe schools? Thanks.
Can you guys tell me about the Henrietta school system? I’m thinking of moving here and putting my 2 kids into elementary school. The schools have a bit lower ratings to some others around but I’d love to hear from those that went through it.
The district just sent out a robocall. A student at Crane elementary and a student at Vollmer elementary. They were both in school Tuesday and only Tuesday. Department of Health says no need to close schools because of mask and distancing procedures.
Hi there! I teach middle school science and there is a focus on cells and living things in the 6th grade. Hela cells and Henrietta Lacks come up often in 9th grade or biology classes. Has anyone introduced this story and the idea of ownership/privacy in lower grades? I feel like I can make connections, but haven't found the right way yet.
Anyone here have experience with Henrietta Lacks High School? Would you recommend? Pros/cons? TIA!
Just my opinion, but I need to vent.
I find Kelenna Azubuike horribly annoying. To be fair, I think at times, he does offer some knowledgeable insights. But he is just way too excitable. Ends up screaming into the mic multiple times per game, about stuff that's not even that crazy.
And the worst is when he inserts himself into the player's head to attempt to explain what's happening. ("I'm Steph Curry. Watch me cross you up before I hit this step back!!).
And sometimes it seems like he'll start a sentence/paragraph and not quite know where he's going with it, and struggle to find an off-ramp. (Reminds me of Chris Webber in this way). The worst example of this was when, in a couple recent games, he started imitating the F1 announcer (I think?) and just...kept...going...even while there was action going on in the game. Painful.
I think his style would fit way better in the pre/post game show. (Reminds me of Bill Walton in this way). Get people excited about the upcoming game, and his antics would be good for highlights, like a SportsCenter anchor.
Instead I'm distracted during the game because I'm so annoyed by him. Missing the all-time great Jim Barnett, who fit perfectly into the flow of the game and would teach me things.
I noticed this guy seems to have a hate boner for Brady. The first time these teams played he tried to be a tough guy blocking Brady when he wasn't even making an attempt to tackle or chase.. and then today I saw him jawing and trying to instigate something again. Guy seems like a clown but gotta love how Tom trash talks back and just laughs.
Barnett is gonna be a free agent and was a bust considering his draft position, just thought it's funny he seems to make a point of going after the GOAT. Go Bucs!
Did something go down at altitude Trampoline Park in Henrietta this weekend. Something involving police?

I’m not native to the Rochester area and have a relative hoping to find a studio or 1-bedroom apartment in the Henrietta, NY (or surrounding) area (lease date in May/June 2022). Any recommendations for apartment sites to use (or avoid)? Also, do reputable landlords tend to post to Craigslist’s? Thanks in advance for any helpful info!
