A list of puns related to "Hbo Series"
I've watched several HBO series. Infact some of my favorite tv shows are from HBO. Curb, Deadwood, the Wire, True Detective, Mare of Eastown. All amazing shows(with the exception of season 2 of TD). But I think one show, even though it is just one season, that gets overlooked sometimes is Chernobyl.
In my mind it a masterpiece. There is not a flaw in the series. It is very intense. The acting from everyone is amazing. The directing is amazing. Cinematography amazing. Edit, sound, score... All amazing. I was listening to the podcast cast that came after the show and someone from the Soviet Union when the accident happened was talking on Twitter how they loved that the series got everything so accurate. I watch from a 3rd time just now and every single time it's just as nail biting as the very first time. I would say it's a good as any single season of tv ever.
P.S. So when I mentioned the show being overlooked I meant that when people are mentioning their favorite shows, it feels like it's rarely listed. I understand it was praised by fans and critics alike.
>This is cool, but the NBA show we need is "Up Late with Gregg Popovich" where he capriciously & tersely grills random celebrities. Maybe Tim Duncan can be his Andy Richter? Late Night Ratings Gold.
Lol that would be amazing.
With Peacemaker out and making some good reviews so far, who else should get their own HBO Max Series. This is for characters that have existed and shown.
I just roftl at the mere thought now
ExposΓ©/it goes all the way to the top! kind of stuff.
Also any good crime limited series (like Mare of Easttown, The Night Of).
Doesn't have to be a true story or based on one. Just well done! Thanks!
Edit: to clarify, limited series meaning 1 really awesome season :)
I have read the entire book series so far, and enjoyed it immensely. I was holding off on seeing the HBO series until all the books had been completed, but that seems pointless now. Iβm not sure Iβm interested in seeing the parts of the HBO series when it starts to diverge from the booksβ story line, though. At what point does that happen? And if I were to go beyond that point, how much further should I go before it goes completely off the rails?

>David Chase has talked up the possibility of returning to The Sopranos universe with a sequel to The Many Saints of Newark.
>The creator of the hit James Gandolfini-fronted mob drama suggested, in an interview with Deadline, that it could be another feature film with Chase and Terence Winter writing together.
>Now, itβs emerged that it could possibly even end up as a TV series for HBO Max.
>Ann Sarnoff, CEO, Studios and Networks, WarnerMedia, told Deadline that the company was βthrilledβ with the results of The Many Saints of Newark.
>βWeβre talking to David about a new series, Sopranos related, on HBO Max,β she said.
>Chase said that if he was to return to The Sopranos world, any such potential story would take place after the film, which is set in the late 1960s and 1970s and before the original series, which starts around 1998. βThereβs only one way that I would do it, and that was if Terry [Winter] and I could write the script together. That I would do.β
>Sarnoff admitted that a final decision as to whether the project becomes a series or a feature film has not been made, but a Sopranos prequel series is an intriguing possibility.
>She conceded that the box office numbers for The Many Saints of Newark, which stars Alessandro Nivola as Dickie Moltisanti and James Gandolfiniβs son Michael Gandolfini as a young Tony Soprano, were not quite as big as the company would have liked, but pointed to the demographics of the people returning to movie theaters as one reason. She added that the film had a positive effect on the show, which launched on HBO in 1999.
>βYou see The Sopranos pop into the top ten of viewed series on the service and itβs given it an entirely new life,β she said. βItβs literally lifted all of The Sopranos franchise in a new way. You canβt measure just by the box office.β
>Sarnoffβs comments come after Chase signed a five-year, first-look deal with WarnerMedia that covers film and TV across HBO, HBO Max and Warner Bros. Pictures Group.
>Chase previously wrote and developed A Ribbon of Dreams, a six-part miniseries for HBO that told the story of the beginnings of Hollywood, following a college-educated mechanical engineer and a cowboy with a violent past, who form an unlikely producing partnership and together become pioneers and then powers for a time in motion pictures. He said that it was all lined up but H
... keep reading on reddit β‘Flashy title I know. But what I mean is that, can you think of any idol groups that have SUCH an interesting story full of twists and turns that you would want a drama series or movie based on them? Like the Bohemian Rhapsody film or Rocketman. Basically a dramatic biopic movie or series.
My pick for this would be Super Junior. Seriously they have had so much shit happen to them over the 16 years they are active, and I'm constantly surprised at what they've been through.
What they could touch on
The alleged 'Incheon Battle' fistfight between Leeteuk and Heechul shortly after debut, witnessed by a Big Bang member
Rotational Super Junior '05 concept where they would disband after a few months
Kyuhyun added to SJ 6 months AFTER debut
Heechul's car crash back from a members dads funeral that crippled his leg
Kyuhyun's car crash where he almost died after being thrown from the vehicle, his father begged doctors to save his vocal chords
Height of Sorry Sorry Era & Hallyu wave
Hangeng, first Chinese idol to sue SM for unfair treatment (slave contract) in 2009 and winning, which led to better rights for future idols
Both SJ-M (Chinese unit) members blocked from being SJ because fans bought stock in SM to prevent it
Leeteuk family double murder suicide
Sungmin getting married and then exiled from SJ by fans because of it
Kangin's two DUIs and getting kicked from the group
Siwon's dog killing someone via bacterial infection
4 members leaving the group
Anyway you get the point. There is so much stuff in their history that could 100% fit a drama series, its insane.
I know there are a few stories of 1st and 2nd Gen idols being very poor and finding success through the industry that would be moving stories to watch as well.
Are there any groups that you personally think would fit this as well? Any story you would want told?
