A list of puns related to "Hari Singh Nalwa"
What does baghmar mean in Punjabi ? I was researching Hari Singh Nalwa, and it said that was his cognomen.
Truu hai kya??
So, Sardar and I were smoking some fresh greens. And then, he started to talk. Damn! I wish I remember it in entirety.
"Yaar, we should have 'gussa ghar' with punching bags. People can come and relieve themselves".
"Yaar, we should have 'gaali ghar' where people can give gaalis and relieve themselves". Audience bhi hona chahiye. some people do like to listen to gaalis.
"yaar, yeh doodh ki neher kaise banta hai? would there be a million cows somewhere upstream being milked constantly?" I can't remember a lot of what he talked but this was a very very serious question for him. He talked at length on this topic. His questions included if the milk would turn into dahi a few kilometers down the line and would there be dahi 'rocks' .. fuck it was hilarious.
And, another topic.. he finds excitement in burglary .. not to rob but the entire act - planning, stealth, sneaking all that filmy shit. So his question is "suppose I breach all the security of Big Bazaar, sneak in in the middle of night, try to evade security alarms and cameras and get one pack of chips. I'd even put the money there. And then I am subsequently caught. Would I be sent to jail?"
"Yaar ek accha sa treasure hunt game ka company hona chahiye. maza ayega"
And then there was a long rant about acting and actors. According to him, real talented people are our regular people, like him. It took 6 months for his wife to find out his 'acting' on some issue (he did tell but I forgot) because it was so freaking real (EDIT: Here I really think his wife is a bigger actress. I am sure she would have let him think that she is being fooled until it suited her. You know ..women are stealth creatures). Screen mein what actors do is so fake that by the very look of it it looks fake. According to him acting isn't a skill to be learnt to be on the screen. It is a survival toolkit of every human being.
I don't know him. I met in BBS. He is a potato merchant .. trades non perishable vegetables across the border in Odisha and AP. I enjoyed every moment of the time I spent.
Muslim soldiers in the armies of the Vijaynagar Empire in 1565 and Maharaja Hari Singh of Kashmir in 1947-48 became traitors and sided with the enemy. Hindus must learn from history. Ghar Wapsi is thus imperative.
Edit: I realize now that when I started typing this, I asked something in title which I am not asking in post body. Sorry, I think I can't edit title now.

Hi, Before everything, I am absolutely not asking or talking about Gill/Sandhu/Sidhu/Maan etc surnames, Got in Punjabi, Gotar in Hindi. Certainly not based on caste.
In Sikh History, major personalities have most of the time name with First Name, Singh, & then a word, most of the time from their place of origin. Charat Singh Shukarchakia, grand father of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, had word Shukarchakia because he used to have control over a place named ShukarChak. Baba Banda Singh Bahadar had word Bahadar like an adjective, Brave. Tara SIngh Vaa (not Bhai Taru Singh Ji) had word Vaa because he lived in that named village. Bhai Karam Singh Historian simply had his profession Historian in his name. Nawab Kapoor Singh, Bhai Vir Singh, Bhai Mani Singh had no words after Singh.
Also, this is possible that the person might not have added a word to their name themselves; but the society & sangat them around might have added that.
Gurcharan Singh Tohra (not commenting on his politics, just an example from recent times) had word Tohra because he was from village Tohra. Same with Badal. But Majithia, Sidhu, Maan etc are using their family surnames, got. Same by celebrities; almost all of them use family names.
What word (not got/gotar) from Sikh History (far past or recent or anytime in between) would be a good word to add to the name? Think of it as a brand new, empty canvas, not related to caste, money, place, looks; but only to Sikhi, Punjab, Religion & Culture.
Thanks,
